looks great
I did a similar thing, opened up the vents but did not bother to put the blanket back in since it was holding water and was getting musty. With the blanket out and silver paint really wakes up the engine bay when the hood is raised. I am not sure if I will be putting it back in.

What kind of paint did you use? I have been looking to do this to my Mystichrome Cobra and painting the letters in Mystichrome. Just wondering. I looked for a high grade fabric paint but low and behold you can't find it in black. Then Wally World changed paint brands so I really don't know what will work best. Loved the job you did on yours keep up the good work. :)

I guess the base coats of high temp paint made it easier to paint and not soak into the blanket. I folded the vent flaps up under the blanket. I just wanted the option in the future to be able to close when needed.

http://www.svtcobraclub.com/forums/vbgarage.php?do=getimage&id=417 Jason just noticed your hood prop is gone and you are using struts? to hold up your hood. How is that working out. And btw yours looks awesome. But IMO I would have put the retainers back in the holes all around just my .02

I have an 03 Red Vert 10th Anv and I want to do my liner. Did you remove the liner before you painted?? I was going go remove mine, but the edges were flaking and parts of it are glued. If you removed yours are there any tips you can give me? I am in New Hampshire and I figured doing the liner would be a good winter project.

Use care when taking the plastic clips out since the liner is easily damaged when removing them. I ripped the corner of mine off by accident so it remained off. I have not noticed any damage to the paint at all from heat of the engine. One thing I did notice without the blanket is that the supercharger can be heard when not under boost and is much louder at WOT. :D
