Well, we are all moved into our new home. It is real nice, being a little out of the city. Well, this morning, 5:20am, on my way to work, I had an altercation with a deer. He/she was standing along side the road, waited until I was three car lengths to him to dart in front of me. I swerved, but caved in the left front fender, and cracked the hood. The car drives fine, which is good, just looks bad. It is in the body shop now, so hopefully she will be fixed in time for the Lillington cruise in.

Mike,

I'm glad you are okay, even at a slow speed a deer can be a dangerous weapon especially if they come through the windshield.

Congrats on moving into the new house, I'm sure you and Tina will enjoy it.

Although the car is down, at least it's getting a fresh coat of paint. Maybe they'd cut you a deal since they already have to repair/repaint a fender, a hood, and a bumper cover? She ought to be looking brand new by the time you get to Lillington! ;)

yeah, good thing I saw it. I slowed up dramatically when I did, otherwise it could have been worse. It was a good size deer. I drove it all the way to work, nothing wrong. Yes, I told the guy to paint the front, as it will need to be worked on anyways. That is the plus to this. The hood could have used a touch up, too, so this works ok. Not the way I would have done it, but it will have to work. I am hoping they will be done with it before next friday.

The fender will be replaced, as well as the hood. This guy does good body work, so I am not worried about it.

Yeah Mike tough luck. Get that bad boy fixed soon. I need my cruise in partner to be ready the 29th for Lillington

yeah Rob, I hope!! Do you have a two way radio? If so, what kind? That makes the drive a little more entertaining. Anyways, if they get the parts tomorrow, there really is no reason that they can't have it done next week. We will see, and hope. I don't want to miss this cruise in:thumbsup:

Good to hear you are okay and the damage was relatively minimal.

Hope you and Tina are getting settled into the new house (congratulations, btw) and I hope they aren't driving her too crazy at work.

ok, the Cobra is done, and in the carport. It looks great. They did a wonderful job on it. The only minus is the headlights. The left one had to be replaced, but the right one did not. So, the right is showing its yellowed effect. Isn't there something to put on that to get the yellow out?

glad you got the car back. I saw your other post about the headlight. Might as well buy another headlight:D
