Wonder If I should tell Jayne before the trucks, trailers and Cobras start arriving??? :side:

Lord willing-the creek don't rise I will be at CMP. I figured out a few of the corners last time (by late Sunday) maybe I can get a few more this time. Also got to get the Beasst tuned so it will turn more than 4,000 rpm. What is Gingerman like. I wouldn't mind a trip up north but wonder how Taxi friendly that track is. Looks short and tight but if there is plenty of grass to use it won't be a problem. Any idea on the schedule for 411 in '06. Talledega ? If you want to see a Ford SVT blower on an Impala SS check the ISSCA web site under the forced induction section. "You put a Ford motor in a Cheby?" See you at the track.

BTTBSS,

Gingerman is 1.88 miles long and it is a very driver friendly track with minimal amout of walls and tire barriers. It's very much like CMP but just a 1/2 mile shorter. Definitely a fun track to run!

John,

Lisa just wants to go on and on about a "Sorrentino Killer" but then she doesn't want to drive it on the track....what a sissy. :rotf:

COOL! :bounce: I enjoyed watching the AV8SS race at autobahn, and kinda regretted not running in the cobra R challenge.....hmmm, maybe we should make it 2 ex-motorola cup cars in attendance? ;) actually, the 93R will be making its way back to the track sooner than the 95R

Count on at leaSSt one more Taxi at CMP. I was scheduled to run last year but a clutch master cylinder went out a few days before the event. I'm eager to check out the track....And the opportunity to chase Rick again! TGP was a blast. Can't wait.

Rick has the 411 schedule. I'm not sure the 411 schedule has been confirmed 100% yet but it should be three events with Talladega taking the 4th event instead of a 4th 411 event.

Looking forward to CMP again! Can't wait to get her back On Track!

We just purchased a 2004 SVT Focus for our youngest son, and I want to get him On Track. He is 17 years old, and I am wondering if he can run in the beginners group with an instuctor?

I believe the minimum age is 16 so I would say yes. I'll have to verify that with the insurance company just to be sure.

Tom Griff,

I checked with the track and the age limit is 16 so your son is welcome to attend and drive at the event. I would recommend Garry Talbert for his instructor but you can check with John on the instructor schedule.

Also, not 100% confirmed yet, but if you plan to come and watch, their will be a spectator fee. If you are a club member, you have to have your membership card in order for the fee to be waived. The card must be up to date and you may be asked for proof of identity at the gate. We'll know more on that later on in the month. Membership will have its privileges. :)

Shawn..you can reach me at 803.371.0725.

Thanks,

Tony

Greg,

We will not send out updated membership cards because your card should have the correct membership expiration date of 11/27/2008 (November 2008). If it does not then let me know and I'll send you a new one.

Brett,

You just missed me because I'm rooming with Burke. We talked about it just this weekend. :D

I did this in 2001 with you all when I had a 01 GT and had a blast.

A couple of questions...

Is there a car limit to this event.
Will they have a class for convertibles without roll bars?
What is the cost.

Where do I sign up!!!!!!

Joe

cobrabitn
01-12-2006, 09:57 PM
The car limit is 75 cars. Convertibles have to have a rollbar in order to participate. We no longer have a "convertible without rollbar" group. This was decided by the club for your protection and ours.

You can now sign up in the store at www.scmcstore.com Please disregard the line that says "This event is now full". The event just opened and is open to the first 75 participants. We will get that line removed from the store.

Thanks

Playtime, don't get CMP confused with Gingerman as they are two different events in this one thread. CMP is in the south and Gingerman is in your state. The 2006 SVT Cobra Nationals will be held at Gingerman Raceway in September!
