Alternator stuck

Anyone with an '03 - '04 personally replaced their alternator. I have verything unbolted but there is no room for alt to come out either top or bottom. Can't seem to get past the upper or lower bracket. Anyone come across this problem ?

I replaced the alt. on Evilcartman's father in law's car. It cam out the bottom, But I did have the car on a lift .

Just got it out but had to unblt the bottom bracket. A lift would make it much easier.
