I need to know if you think we should put the FULL name in the list. I think it's the only way people see who's coming to our events. Thanks

Some members think it's an insurance issue. The insurance companies could get the name from our list.

Not going to make it to CMP, but thought I would throw my 2 cents into the pot. This past sept, when I totalled my cobra on the dragon, I had the round SCMC sticker in my window. And the insurance people came to the web page, and found my name on various posts about the dragon, and the 411. When I made the statment about the accident, the clames guy questioned me about the aftermarket parts, and the events that I attended. Asked why they should be held responsible for a car that has been made into a "race/track car". I ended up talking them out of it, but I was sweating bullets for a few sleepless nights.

And with that in mind... I vote a definate NO! Just use the "usernames" and no car listed.
Using "John S.- white 96 Cobra" when an insurance guy is snooping for a "John Smith" and knows the car is a white 1996 Cobra is not really gonna help any.
I vote user name and maybe a general "Cobra" or "Vette", no year and no color, and that's all. It sucks, but snooping insurance a-holes suck worse.
It doesn't take that long for new guys or visitors to learn everyones' username.
Thanks for the heads up mojosvt, I'm going to change my username/location/profile, etc.
This post will self-destruct in 10... 9... 8...

The only insurance that I worry about is Liability. If I trash my car so be it. I have been thinking about dropping my collision insurance anyway.

Uggh. You have way more "expendible income" than me, partner.
I think it would be safe to say you're definately in the minority.
I'm doing good to afford entry fees and brake pads, replacing or repairing a totalled car out of pocket is out of the question.
It would end my puny racing/HPDE "career" before it even got started.

I crashed my 2003 BMW M3 At CMP in April 2003. There was no need to lie. Pictures were all over the internet that night. I had already read my policy and verified that it did not exclude High Performance Driving Schools. They paid over $19,000 on the claim.
Most policies state that they do not cover on racing tracks when practicing or participating in a timed event. A few will exclude any accident on a Racing course. If yours does, Change companies! Also, never use the word racing with anyone in the insurance industry.
When it comes to any accident on a public road, the Dragon ect... it's covered.
The only troubble I have seen is when someone had a wreck at Road Atlanta and filed the claim saying they were on a GA highway. The claim was denied and the person was charged and convicted of insurance fraud.
