It's getting close to that time for the Spring Autofair as it is just a little over two months away. This is the official sign up list for the fair. This is a two day event and we ask that if you sign up, you show up. If you are not sure then you're considered as not going to the event. Please do not post "not sure" or "no I cannot make it". We only want to know if you are absolutely, 100% sure you will be attending and the only reason for not attending after signing up is an emergency. We are expected to have 40 cars there from the Speedway, if we do not have the requested number then they will penalize us and give us less spots for the next event. We often have a waiting list so try to be considerate of others by not blocking a space and cancelling at the last minute or not showing up the day of the event. Registration is on a first come first serve basis.

The event is a free show for all SCMC members only (a $40.00 value);try to remember we are doing this event to promote our club, socialize, and recruit new members. There will be a handful of trophies to give out at the event and the judging is usually done by the GM club. If you are attending for anything other then club promotion, socializing, and recruiting you may want to reconsider attending this event. People first, club second, trophies dead last!


We have 40 slots for Saturday and 20 slots for Sunday. Please state which days you will attend, thanks.

Hey Tony, We are staying at the Marriot Spring Hill Suites. Its about a mile and half from the McDonalds were we are gonna meet and about 5 minutes from the Speedway. Its a very nice hotel. Inside heated pool, We stayed there last September and shared a room with one of my buddys from YMR. It had 2 queen size beds and a kitchen and living room, very spacious. Its around $65-$70 a night. I'll get the phone number and exact dollar amount if you decide that would be the place. The YMR gang stays there. There nice peeps. I believe there were around 20 or so yellows in the parking lot last year. It wouldnt hurt to let'em know we're in town too.:cool: :D :D :D :D :spank2: :angel: :D


BTW, We're bringing 2 friends along with us.They dont own a Stang but they love them. How much is the tickets for the Autofair so they'll know?Thanks in advance.:)

This is just a reminder to everyone that if you cannot 100% attend this event, do not sign up. Do not block a space and then cancel at the last minute. We have other members that want to be able to go that will make other plans if they cannot attend this event. The only excuse for not showing up at McDonald's at 6:30 a.m. in Charlotte on April 8, 2006 on Saturday is that you had an emergency.

We need to fill this event to make sure we, as Cobra owners, have a presence in the Mustang community!

Lastly...this is not a show...it is, but it isn't. You are going there to represent the SCMC and to educate the general public as well as socialize with friends and recruit new members. Trophies are just another piece of wood to hang on the wall. JMHO!

Directions are very simple head north from the track on route 29 and make a right at the 11th traffic light. That's Florence Ave and Roma's is just ahead on the left. The traffic light immediately before you turn is for the Lowe's Home Improvement store (there is also a bank and a tire store) and you can see the next light where you turn from the Lowe's light.

Who all has tents so just in case we have some rain that wants to make an appearance. And what size are they so we will have enough room for everyone. I dont have one but I can make a trip to my 2nd home, Walmart to get one. Plus like Lisa said to help shade us from the sun when the black top begins to sizzle.:)

BTW, I called Dan over at ProDyno and set up a tune for Friday night so I could bring my dyno sheet to the show the next day. Im shooting for 300hp. Changed the oil to Royal Purple Racing formula-$10:eek: a quart and changed the plugs and wires and ran some sea foam through the PCV. I pulled 278hp with 268trq last year. Im sure Dan can find those horses grazing in there and put them to work.:D

Well I have a tent but it doesn't fit real well in the car anymore. I don't know if I'll be able to squeeze it in or not. I also don't remember what size it is but I did buy it at Wally World and it was less than $100.00. I'll try to fit mine in the car but no promises. I know Dave Stanfield has one that he'll probably bring and the club has one. We could use a couple of more to make room for most of us! Hell Blue, you and I take up one tent by ourselves! :eek: ;) :D :thumbsup:

I have a 10X10 instant canopy that I use for tailgating and it sets up in about 2 minutes!:thumbsup: I'll try to stuff it in my car somehow....it will definately help if I can put the top down. Pray for a really nice sunny day! See y'all Saturday morning.

What Lisa said....rain or shine. We are on the concrete in the center of the speedway and not in the grass. This is the best place to be located at the speedway. It's calling for thunderbumpers on and off tomorrow, hit or miss depending on where you are?? We are also close to the garage area so we can take shelter there till Mr Sun comes back out. Like Lisa, I'll be at Mickey D's at 6:30 a.m. as we are having a guest from Atlanta coming to this event to meet you and the rest of our club members. I know at one time everyone's car here as gotten wet so don't let a few showers(?) stop you from coming out.

Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a great time over the weekend for my first big event with the club!:thumbsup: It was great to see the turnout especially on Saturday with the unpleasant weather. I really enjoyed meeting everyone........most of y'all for the very first time and everyone has some really nice rides!:cool: Hey I also want to thank the judges who voted for my car in this event too. On Sunday it was pretty cool to shake Humpy's hand and get to talk to him some. I was kind of suprised he would to talk to an average joe off the street.:eek: Anyway, if anyone has any pics of my car please pm me, I forgot to bring my camera on Sunday. Also, it would be awesome to see pics posted of our Cobras on the website from both days of the show!:bounce:

One other thing, don't forget about the Pineville, NC Hooters Cruise-In on April 29th from 1pm-4pm! It is just south of Charlotte at I485 and South Blvd. Hope to see y'all there!:thumbsup: I will post on other sites too.
