Those of you with mildly modded Cobras, what tires are you running on rear? I hve been running the Nitto 555DRs and am considering going to a more convientional tread. Driving everyday goes thru the DRs pretty quickly. Anyone use the Nitto Extremes? Others? Know they are not going to grip like the DRs, but....would like to have something that will last a little longer.

I used 555s on my 97 and had great results with them. Sold the wheels and tires with 22K and still had usable thread, I didn't do alot of burnouts!!!

I'm running on some BFG DR and I've got around 1500 miles on them now and they still look brand new :D
If you want to go to a more convientional thread pattern I'd suggest the Nitto Extreme's or Goodyear GS-D3's, but they won't hook at all and you'll get more wheel hop with those kind of tires.
Good luck:thumbsup:

I have the extreme 555. They don't catch until midway 2nd gear. But I have 555dr's 315/R17 on aniversary wheels. I only wish you could get the regular 555 in a 315-17"
