You do NOT have to do the whole tour, and seeing as it is going to pass through Columbia and Charlotte on the way to Roanoke, VA I thought at least some of the club members might like to join the tour for a leg or two.
So far the folks I know who are going to do the "LONG HAUL" (Kissimmee to Englishtown) are:
Greg "Big Daddy" Oswell - White '01 Cobra Coupe
Dave "Redsnake 99" Stanfield - Red '99 Cobra Vert
PLEASE POST IN THIS THREAD if you plan on attending. Please include your Name and nickname, the car you will be driving and what stops you plan on making.
LET'S MAKE THIS A BIG COBRA EVENT AND SCARE ALL THEM GM BOYS AWAY! ;) :D

I am definitely going to do one or two of the legs, but I may try and make more of them, but not all of them. I was thinking of doing the GA-PA stretch.
But, definitely, Columbia, SC to Salem, VA for sure.

I can get from Raleigh to Kissimmee in 10 hours. That's nothing in a Cobra convertible in early June.

My plan is to leave Raleigh mid-day on Thursday driving all the way to Kissimmee and check in late. Same hotel Friday night, usinf Friday to rest , register and goof off. Bringing Bettina with me this time.
Upon arrival in Englishtown the next Friday, I will then leave immediately to return to Raleigh for my daughter's graduaiton Saturday the 10th. Will need a proxy for the fabulous "long-hauler" give-aways from Saturday.
We're looking forward to a great trip!

I'm new here. Last Septmeber I picked up 1995 Cobra R #86 with 12,500 on the odo. Plan was to open track it and go ont he Hot Rod Power Tour. I'm 1 for 2 so far. I left Friday before Power Tour to head down to Kissimmee with my 6 year old son riding shotgun in his car seat up front as the car's essentially a two-seater. He was none too happy about the lack of air-conditioning and the 850 lb-in springs up front kept restarting his DVD player:) , but once we got to Kissimmee, he rode in the backseat of Grandpa's '04 Mach 1 the rest of the way. About the time I got past Savannah on I-95, I saw an 04 Cobra sporting orange paint and the NC plate read "Crussh". Sweet ride, I saw the car at several stops, but never got to talk to him. HRPT was the coolest thing I've done on 4 wheels and can't wait for next year, though there were times down in Florida where I was rethinking my decision to take a car with no AC, especially in the rain. The car ran flawlessly. I met Big Daddy when I walked up on his awesome Cobra S at the Perry stop. Was good to meet you.

That's cool. What were you driving?
If it's not too much trouble, do you think you could email me the photos of my car? It just occurred to me that I didn't take any pics of my car during the trip. Wish we could've met, but I didn't spent much time near my car. There was too much else to see!
