I would like to change out my factory hood with a shaker hood system, does anyone know how it can be done?

You might try the hood from a Bullitt. I know some who changed it to a real shaker hood. I guess my question is why would you want to?

Im not sure how the shaker would mount with the supercharger , it may be too high and the hookup with the airbox is a little different. Before I bought the Cobra I was going to buy a Mach 1(an awesome car) but the Cobra (more awesome) won me over. If I can install the shaker it will be the best of both worlds plus Ive never seen one on a Cobra.

I understand personal taste, that is why we mod are cars to start with. I think that you are right in that there will be clearance issues with the charger.

When I went to the Ford 100th celebration, there was a red Mach 1 with the shaker on it and a 03 Cobra engine in it. I know it can be done but I don't recall the name of the place that did it. It's a very popular place for aftermarket body kits but I'm just not in to that so it didn't interest me to explore it further. The installation looked very clean though... (CDC maybe???) :doubt:

MY ...MY... MY,, I may sound like an A hole but 1 of 2003....?
It would look like someone with a Mach 1 tried to make a Cobra
yes the Shaker hood does look cool but the 10th anniversary is cooler.and yes I have one, my mods are only kept to look stock
I also know that's why they make more than one flavor of ice cream, I like chocolate, some like cookie dough

Well...whatever floats your boat I guess? I think the car at the 100th looked really good and the quality was there, too. Nothing wrong with having a unique Cobra, especially one with a shaker hoodscoop!

I understand Redsnake's position on messing with the way a 10th looks. They did only make 2003 of them with that red and black interior. Of course I took out my seats and did a seat delete and put in racing seats in the front so other than the red inserts in the door and the badging most people would not know it is a 10th.

Classic Design Concepts is the place you'll find it. They had a red Mach at Mustang week that had an 03 engine in it with a shaker hood. Looked sharp. It's on the pricey side though. Here's a link:
