been a while since ive visited there, lookin for some parts. im shore they used to have the drag-pac, with the diff brace ect ect. now its not there. did they stop selling it? and i remember they were having some problems in service, what up with that now? thanks :)

not necessarily, just depends on who you talk to...ive always dealt with George when I had issues (only 1 so far) and he corrected it in a timely manner...i believe they are now under new management as well, just ordered some stuff and had it in 4 days :thumbsup:

I personally had little problems with them, but recomended them to a friend with a lightning and they gave him nothing but a exspensive headache. I no longer use them for anything. I understand its hard to pass up there deals. In my opinion its not worth it when your working with a $30k plus vehicle.

I would like to shine a new light on rpmoutlet as well as other places that sell "bolt on stuff"
Since I met Sam at Coastal, the reality of all the money iv waisted on a bunch of bolt on stuff, compared with "REAL STUFF" that makes REAL HP.

Turns out I did not need a 95MM mass air meter
Turns out I did not need an Accufab single blade TB
Turns out I did not need a heat exchanger
turns out I did not need LT headers

turns out all I needed was a Whipple, fuel pumps, and a mass extender and I would be making far more HP than I am right now with all that other stuff,
Sam has an 03 or 04, making 700+ HP to the wheels with just a Whipple,fuel pumps, Mafia and no headers at all, stock TB,stock air filter, just a Whipple with a small pulley and some good tuning,
All this bolt on stuff at the End of the Day, makes only tiny changes, when the whole time it was boost boost boost on these 03-04's, but these bolt on places and there "Employee's" know that most cannot afford to pull out a wad of $5800+ to go with big $$$$ stuff, however there were many that could plop down $200 for this, $600 for that, and bull sh&t about what it all does, Education, is truly expensive, is it not?

Hind site is always 20/20...you are very right, ive could saved myself 1000's by not doing the normal bolt ons, then the Procharger, and now the turbo's...looking back I wouldve gone just Turbo (but they werent out yet)...I dont know why im sticking up for them, but RPMoutlet has some good deals and their packages do work, but if you knew you want 600+rwhp to begin with, you shouldve just gone Whipple/KB/Ported w/N20 :thumbsup: ...also, the little things help in the long run (Throttle body=quicker throttle response/95MAF=easier tunability at higher HP levels/HE=cooling your air charge to help keep the car cool (necessary when running higher HP on these cars)/LT's arent necessary but give you more HP)...im not trying to give you a hard time, but you are righ "Education can be expensive"

you make a good point, I did not ever think I would want 600 RWHP at any time, im just making a point of just how flawed the whole bolt on sales deal is,

Some people actually enjoy modding their cars. You said it yourself, most people can't afford to drop $6000 for a Whipple, tune and supporting mods. Then consider the clutch and input shaft, how about those weak half shafts and hey the price is getting up there. 700hp on a Whipple, I've seen it done with about 24lbs of boost on 100 octane. I don't care how perfect the tune is that engine is on borrowed time. For $1500 a guy can put close to 500hp to the wheels with bolt-ons on pump gas. I'd say that's a little more than a "tiny change". Pulley, cold aid kit, exhaust, some cooling stuff and a tune and you have an 11 second daily driver. To say that bolt ons don't do anything is an untrue statement. The Whipple is awesome and way more efficient than the stock "Heaton" but it really just depends on what your goals are and how much you can afford spend.

I've never had any problems with RPMoutlet, if something was on backorder they would always call or email and let me know.
But I've always received my parts within a few days. :thumbsup:
