Hi, I'm Marianne. :hello:I have a 2001 zinc yellow Cobra coupe. I was looking at the pics from the shows. I was at the show in Sept in North Carolina at Lowes Speedway with my other car club, the Yellow Mustang Registry. I love car shows so I hope to meet some new people at some car shows this summer. I'll try to add some pics of my baby. :bounce:When I figure out how to hehe.

Marianne is also another new club member and it's great to have some northeast Cobra owners joining the SCMC so we can spread the enthusiasm around as this will help the word of our club to spread. I do know we will have some other activity up there in the northeast as Ken is trying to work something out but if you have any ideas to offer him, please feel free to post them in your specific forum and let's keep the adrenalin pumping!
A big welcome to Marianne and Cheryl! I know this is a piece away but the 2006 SVT Cobra Nationals will be in September and it will be held in MI at Gingerman Raceway. The event will consist of the following:
1. Two days of Open Track at the Raceway
2. SVT, Mustang, and all Ford show
3. Free parade laps on the track to those that enter the show
4. Charity rides
5. Saturday night BBQ
6. The AV8SS will hold the "SVT Cobra R Challenge Race" there where you can see Cobra R's running wheel to wheel
7. The Local Ford club will be there to assist and help with the show
8. Ford Racing will be bringing their trailer with them along with some FR products
This is a great opportunity for our members to meet other members from different parts of the country and have a ton of fun while socializing.
Ken will be coming from NJ so you can caravan with him. Pat will be coming from Massacheusetts, Bill from Chicago IL, Burke from NC, Rick from TN, Pete from Ontario, and many more club members from all over. Be sure to join in on the fun and meet new SCMC people from all over the country.

Thanx for the welcome Cobrabitn!
Sounds like an Awesome event in MI! Now that is something I would love to go to! It would be great to caravan with Ken and others from our area. I have LOTS of experience driving cross-country, so that would be a piece of cake!
(I'm orig. from the Bay Area in CA, moved to PA 4 1/2 yrs. ago. Drove that trip 8x's since, not fun!)
I'd prob. trailer my Pony/Snake for that one. Less miles on her!
Do you have a date in Sept. yet?

Marianne,
All of the NY members are on the New England Mailing list that you are on so if you want to chat with them, just send an e-mail to NewEnglandCobras@yahoogroups.com and they can reply to you there.
We have the 2006 SVT Cobra Nationals so all Cobra owners have a place to congregate and exchange stories while making friends and enjoy having a car show and open track event at the same time. There are the Shelby Nationals, the Bullitt Nationals, the MCA Nationals, and the SVT Cobra Nationals. Many times SVT Cobra owners get overlooked and are lumped with other Mustang classes at shows so enter "SVT Cobra Club", a place for Cobra owners to meet, make friends, and have a good time together and have their own Cobra show classes...
Our events are always open to any Ford product but the club is exclusively SVT Cobra. Our track events are open to any make or model as long as they want to play with the snakes. We don't force GM car owners or any other make for that matter to join our club just for the sake of membership numbers. We do encourage our members to invite their friends even if they don't own a Cobra so that everyone can have a good time. While I like for our club to grow...I've always said that I'd rather have 50 people that always want to do things together than 500 that don't.
Hope to see you and Cheryl at the Nationals!

welcome to the both of you! its great to see we have some more new members in the tri-state area! I'm hoping to have a fall cruise much like the spring cruise we did back in may....if there is enough interest (and volunteer help) I'd like to team up with a local Ford dealer and have a car show, too
I'll be heading out to gingerman for the cobra nationals in september, my 5th consecutive year making the trip, and a caravan sounds great! I want to warn you that I usually leave thursday evening and drive all night, taking a few hour nap when I get tired, usually in an ohio rest area....this time, I'll be RV-ing it, but years past, I'd sleep right in the truck....anyhow, let me add a few pics from our past meets/cruises so you can see the turnout we had....
