Guys like to TRY to race me all the time. Let me tell ya, girls' can race too!! When my son says, "Mom....." as he points to the speedometer....and she's tackin 120mph.....hmmmm....pretty sweet!!!! ;)

Welcome to the Club FastCobraGirl  Sorry you could not make the meet in NJ, I just got there when they were all packing up and heading out to the Pizza shop. I too would like to see more events or meets in the PA,NJ area. I may even list all the tenative dates for the Wheels of Time meets which tends to draw a very large croud every month. Perhaps some in here would be interested to attend one of the days on the schedule. I usually try to make all of them (probably only one of the places I get to take the dog with me).

Wheels of time is basically a hot rod association, but the cruises are open to all cars. I frequently see a few Cobras, alot more Corvettes, and of course the good old cars of the 50's on up (some older ones too). These events are great for the whole family, they sometimes have a live band playing (that is if you like the 50's music, namly elvis).
If you know of any car shows or events happining in your area, that would be great to hear about.

Here is the schedule (I did post a link that had it ya must have missed it, also they have pictures of what you typically see there along with simple directions located in the jamboree section)
Click on this link to the WOT web site for more info: http://www.wheelsoftime.org/home.shtml
Wheels of time cruise schedule: (all days are saturdays)
You do not need to be a member of any association for this event. It will cost you $1.00 to enter your car.
June 10, 6pm to 10pm
July 15, 6pm to 10pm
August 19, 6pm-10pm
September 9, 5pm to 9pm
October 21, 4pm to 8pm
The Wheels of time locations: (always the same place) Machungie Memorial Park. Depending on where in N.E. PA you are comming from; Rt 33 south to rt 22 west (merges with I-78) to rt 100 south for 8 miles. Same applies if using the PA turnpike, take I-78 west to rt 100 south. Once you cross over the double train tracks you are almost there. To your right is a small dinner (Bear creak dinner), there should be a small sign that that points to the left which is very easy to miss. Chances are there would be some sort of hot rod pullin in that direction anyway. There will be a subway hogie shop on the left after the road you want to be on. So there is a second chance to get there.
Coopersburg 100th annual car show, sponserd by First Pennsylvania Mustang Club ( Southern Lehigh Living Memorial Park ) will occur on Sunday, August 20 from 8am to 4pm. If you want to enter your car or cars, it will cost $14.00 per vehicle and you have to enter the park before noon. Directions, similar to above, but take 33 all the way down to I-78 west. Take 309 south. At the 4th traffic light (should be a Giant grocerie store on the left and a King's IGA on the right, make a left to go to the Giant, The Coopersburg Park will be on the same side of 309 (left) and across the street to the Giant once you make the left turn. If using the PA turnpike, take rt 22 east to 309 south (merges with I-78). Once you get over south mountain (passing Summit Lawn exit), take the next exit; rt 309 south.
Here is the link for the FPMC for more info: http://www.1st-pa-mustang.org/events.htm They also have their own cruise schedule too.
Funny though, they call them cruises, but all you do is park and sit still. Not like the good old days when a cruise was just that, driving. At least it gives you a change to look over other rides, meet with others. So far I have yet to hear any music that others would find offensive or annoying. Usually at the coopersburg show there is a mobil dynomometer. Both the WOTSRA cruise and the 1stPA mustang club show will draw in a hundred or more cars. Not too many imports except there is one category for imports in Coopersburg.
