Hey everyone! My name is Scott. I purchased my 1993 Cobra on Saturday July 1, 2006. When I got home it was spewing oil from every place possibe and I am pretty sure it had a head gasket blown also. No hard feelings though, I currently have the motor on a stand in my garage and am refreshing it.

Just to head this off before it starts....(I learned the hard way on other forums), it has a 306 with an aod(stall converter and shift kit). Yes I know that cobras did not come with an aod, but a previous owner put it in and I am not going to pass up a reasonbly priced 1993 cobra that was only an hour away because of that. I also was looking for an aod fox, so it worked out nicely

I love the car, even though I did not get to drive it much. It is very clean, interior is in great shape and will be sweet once I get everthing straightened out with the motor.

Well I look forward to trying to attend some local events and be a part of the SCMC.

By the way, I noticed that one of the administrator's area code was the same as mine. Could you recommend a good machine shop in the columbia,sc area. Hopefully I can get the motor in a shop this week and have this car on the road soon!

Actually we have a bunch of Cobra Club members that have 1993 Cobras so it's not uncommon. In the Columbia we have Arthur, Jason, and Justin that own a 1993 Teal, 1993 Vibrant Red, and 1993 Black SVT Cobra respectively. They are father and sons....

We also more SC members with 93 Cobras
Rob M -Black 93 Cobra
Dewayne - Teal 93 Cobra
Kyle - -Black 93 Cobra
Chuck - Vibrant Red 93 Cobra
Shaun -Black 93 Cobra
Gary - -Black 93 Cobra

And three more in NC

I don't think y'all in the minority as much as you may think you are... :rotf:

I would like to get all three colors of the '93 together for a picture. I think it would be something to have?

That should be in the next edition of Snakebite! BTW, here you go... (Kyle, Chuck, and DeWayne's 93 Cobras)

I'm glad to here there are quite a few 93's in the area. Once I get the car running, it would be great to get together and check out all of the cars.

Unfortunately, I found 2 cracked pistons last night. So I will be down for a little while.

What track do most of you go to around here and is it 1/4 or 1/8 mile?

Scott, come up to Winston-Salem in late August for the Parkway show, our biggest of all shows. We have a day in the spring and one in the fall at Carolina Dragway (near Aiken and North Augusta, SC). Check out the website and the forum for upcoming events.
