Registration isn't open yet, but the schedule is mostly complete, so I thought I'd go ahead and post these up...

Sat/Sun, Feb 9-10 ... Virginia Int'l Raceway Full Course
Sat/Sun, Apr 5-6 ... Virginia Int'l Raceway North Course
Wed/Thu, May 28-29 ... Virginia Int'l Raceway Full Course
Fri, June 20 ... Carolina Motorsports Park (Advanced lapping/Instructor Clinic)
Sat/Sun, June 21-22... Carolina Motorsports Park
Sat/sun, Oct 4-5 ... NC Speedway Roval (Rockaingham)

If you're interested, please go ahead and set up a MotorsportReg.com account (if you dont already have one) or simply add Triangle Z -- Tarheel SCC (if you do already have one).

From what I understand, our events are run very much like SCMC events (except that we run a time trial in the afternoons). Feel free to email or PM me with any questions.

Please note that for you serious track junkies, or those of you taking off anyway to travel to VIR (worth a week's vacation btw)... that May week offers you potentially THREE days of VIR Full Course, and two days of VIR South Course! when you combine the TZC/THSCC event with the SCMC event that weekend :D

I am registered for the VIR event. I hope to combine these with the two SCMC events and attend a school every month from February to June.

LOL, anyone wanna take bets on how long the 99 will last until I have to switch to the 01?

I'll be there with you on all three! I went to the VIR full course event last February and had a blast!

That's pretty ambitious Kevin  Any chance you'll be able to make my Asphalt Ventures events too?I would like to and I have been posting your info around on a couple of sites. From the info you gave me, I had the idea that I might not have enough experience to qualify. I sure don't want to be a "moving chicane" for the faster drivers.

Shoot me a PM or an email when you get a chance. I need to talk to you about my registration for the THSCC/TZC VIR event (I finally got my THSCC membership paperwork back with my official member number).

I'd like to address this issue publicly as well...

What I'm looking for at my events are not necessarily the fastest drivers out there. What I'm looking for are drivers that have shown good judgement on track, are comfortable in traffic with faster AND slower cars, and drivers who simply want to have a fun, relaxed time on track.

My passing rules aren't that much different than most DE's. I still use a point-by system and basically it's passing on any straight. You have your choice as to which side you want someone to pass on (usually it'll be offline) in order to facilitate the most efficient and safe pass... but it's still the passee's choice. I'll still have corner workers looking out for you as well.

If I am lucky enough to have an event where I have a bunch of REALLY fast cars (racers testing or something) and another group of much slower cars, I'll split the event up into two groups, each with 4 1-hour sessions. There's a Porsche club up north that runs a "Cups & Saucers" event that is my inspiration for this.
