Ok Guys and gals it is 2008 and if you have any great shots whether they are action, interior, exterior, engine, or just an overall cool pic then please submit them for a chance to be in the 2009 calendar. Please submit your highest resolution pic you can so the pics don't become pixaelated. A good resolution to shot at would be 2560x1920 or bigger. If your camera doesn't go that high then don't worry set it to the highest one and go shoot. Please do not submit driveway pics or people standing in the pics as it does not make a great a calendar photo unless they are intended to be there. We have all year to take some spectacular pics so the next time you are at an event or it is a nice day why not snap a few and maybe your car or photo will end up in the 2009 calendar. :) Thanks and good luck to all.

All you need to do is get a picture host such as photobucket.com and upload a pic there. Once it is uploaded all you do is copy the IMG code below the picture and paste it to your post. Thats all there is to it.

If that is the case then no one would be able to produce calendars. SVTPERFORMANCE, carolinarides, Fordtruckworld, as well as many others all make calendars and have been for at least 2 years that I know of. Just my thought is all.

We've been doing items for years and some of it has been sent to people at Ford. They know about us and if they really wanted to do something I think they would have a long time ago.
Basically Cafe Press seems to have gotten caught with their hand in the cookie jar previously, and not wanting to admit it they tried to use BMC as a scapegoat. If Ford had been concerened about what BMC was doing, their attorney would have contacted them directly.
Back to the calendar pictures for 2009. :)

Should be ZERO issues with a calender. Ford has been dealing with the BMC and all issue are resolved. Here is what I read-Shane
My name is Whitney Drake and I work in Ford Communications.
We've been watching this discussion with interest and I'd like to
clarify what is essentially a misunderstanding.
Yesterday we spoke to both Cafe Press and the Black Mustang Club
and explained the situation (about the Black Mustang Club’s calendar) to everyone's satisfaction. Ford has no problem with Mustang or other car owners taking pictures of their vehicles for use in club materials like calendars. What we do have an issue with are individuals using Ford’s logo and other trademarks for products they intend to sell. Understandably, we have to take the protection of our brands and licensing very seriously.
Ford did not send the Black Mustang Club a “cease and desist” letter telling them that they could not use images of their own cars in their calendar. The decision not to allow the calendars to be printed was made by Cafe Press, because we had gotten in touch with them in the past about trademark infringements on products they sold.
The Black Mustang Club, and any other Ford enthusiast club, are free to take pictures of their own vehicles for use in calendars or other materials as long as they don't use Ford trademarks in products that will be sold.
I think it is great that the Black Mustang Club, and any other enthusiast club, would take pictures of their own vehicles for use in calendars or other materials.
I'm looking forward to purchasing a copy to hang in the garage next
to my Mustang (even if mine isn't black).
Thanks for giving us the chance to have our say.
Please take a moment to send Whitney an e-gift here through the forums to thank her for working with us to get this resolved, and for wanting the calendar, too! She's been a great help and I'll continue to work with Whitney and the Ford team, so welcome her to the BMC family!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. I'm enjoyed hearing from all of you who have written with words of encouragement and support. Thank you very much for greatly extending the BMC family this week!

And that's why I never replied to this post or on the BMC forums. Like one person said on there, their beef was with Cafe Press. Think about it..they do thousands of calendars and if they are not licensed by Ford then Ford is essentially losing thousands of dollars on "officially licensed products" by Ford Motor Company. I'm glad the BMC got the situation cleared so their members can enjoy their calendars.

If I may make a suggestion, I think the pictures should be submitted no later than 10/31/08 (I should have our event pics from Ted Russell and Dragon Run VII finished by then and hopefully have some to submit). That way there is time to review the submissions and the full size versions since they will need to be checked to make sure they are clear since a smaller version can mask blurriness that will not look good on the full size version.
I think we are looking for around November the latest so we can get everything sent off and any errors corrected if need be. This way we can have the calendars before Christmas.

All of these shots are nice and have a chance to be in the 2009 calendar. Just to let everyone know I along with 2-3 other random members ( have to be a paid member) will be choosing the cars. Those members will be chosen on a first come basis, which means everyone will be given a fair chance and when I post up the first 2-3 people to PM me that they would like to help out then they will be the team. This way there is no favortism on which cars are selected.
There is roughly 4 months left until decision time so there is still plenty of time to get that perfect shot. Thanks, Chris

There are some nice additional shots put up here. However, some of them might need a little "cleaning up" (touch ups) to make them a little more calendar presentable, but otherwise, nice. :)
I don't mean anything bad by that statement by the way...every shot gets touched up for calendars/magazines...trust me. More work goes into the post processing than the shoot itself (most times).

I don't know where Chris and his group went so you all just keep posting them for viewing. I still think we need to do a couple of event photos as well as individual shots like say the Parkway Ford's "Cobra Alley" shot so we can show our dealerships a little appreciation for supporting us.

Probably 90%+ of my photos get some kind of post production before posting. Partially because of the perfectionist in me, but mostly because of the unforgiving nature of digital photography being more like taking slides rather than the more forgiving nature of 35 mm film.
There are some nice additional shots put up here. However, some of them might need a little "cleaning up" (touch ups) to make them a little more calendar presentable, but otherwise, nice. :)

Pictures we know that will be in the calendar:
John Evans 2007 Black Shelby GT 500 Vert - January
Keith Hick's 2003 Sonic Blue SVT Cobra Coupe - February
Carey McKinney's 1999 Black SVT Cobra Coupe - March
Rich Bowden's 1997 Rio Red SVT Cobra Coupe - April

Darin Weaver's 2004 Oxford White SVT Cobra Coupe - June
Britt Mistele's 1993 Teal SVT Cobra Hatchback - July
Parkway Ford's "Cobra Alley" Photo - August
Carroll Puckett's - 2000 Perf. Red Cobra R - September
Ted Russell Ford's Mustang & Ford Show - October
Mike Krause and Edmond Vahedi on track - November
Bill Dangerfield's 2007 White Shelby GT 500 Coupe - December

They will be $22.00 each and they will be the same size as last years with spiral binding. The size is 12 inches by 12 inches and that's an oversized calendar compared to other club calendars. Mike, both of your track shots are great shots and would work. We started getting a little heavy with the amount of Terminators we were looking at using and had to cut back on them. Plus we were a little heavy on red last year and tried not to do that this year (even though I love good shots of Redfire Cobras :) ). I think everyone will be happy with the way the calendar will look with Tony's final picks for this year.
Definitely resubmit yours for next year and maybe we can get two redfire Cobras in the 2010 one.
I think he accidently had you listed as Mat instead of Mike on the order list, it's fixed now.

Mike,
There's no need to be disappointed because all of the cars look great and I really like your on track photo so hold on to it for next year's calendar. Problem is we wanted to spread the years around and since we already had two Terminators, we had to make the difficult decision of picking two of them.

I have 33 calendars left and according to those of you that committed to buying a calendar that have not paid, it leaves me with 3 extras. This is a first come, first serve basis so if you committed to buying one and haven't paid then be sure to take care of it before your copy gets sold to someone else.
You can pay in the store at www.scmcstore.com
Thanks,
Tony

Link wasn't working that you used. Yes it is too late for 2009, but the submission thread for the 2010 calendar is open for submissions. :)
