JLT nets the most hp, but you will have to remove the strut tower brace, as it will not fit underneath it.

Western Motorsports has a real good one, that is what I am running. I think they net the next best to JLT. www.wmsracing.com

JLT is what i have always heard as being the best. as far as chips go IMO diablosport is the only way to go. that is what my local shop said was the best and i love this thing.

The bbk looks good but can cuase detenation which is very bad go with Jlt or the Wms.+1 on the BBK not being a good choice. It may look good, but that's about it. I would go with either the JLT or the WMS. Just remember, removing the strut tower brace for the JLT can change the handling characteristics of your car. Maybe not a great deal, but will change it none the less. Let's see some pictures of your car:thumbsup:

I think the BBK, being chrome, retains a ton of heat from the motor. I know that, the JLT being a plastic wont hold heat. At least, that is what I have read about the BBK. They do look good.

yeah i think the crome has a lot to do with it.

here is my WMS setup. I only bought the upper pipe, and the lower pipe. I think the total was $230, or something close to that. They advertise the whole WMS system, including the MAF sensor, which you don't need, as you are not running a supercharger. The bigger MAF sensor is necessary if you are supercharging. So, the cost is slightly higer than the JLT. The one I have is ceramic coated, but they do offer the pipe in black, too. I hope this helps.

I definitely feel a difference from the stock air box. You are welcome for the help. That is what this club is here for, to share info, and just to be friendly:thumbsup:

Check out Spectre (www.spectreperformance.com (http://www.spectreperformance.com)), they sell stuff to custom build your own and it's very cheap. I've used their stuff before and was very pleased w/ it. I never put it on a dyno, but I was more than satisfied. The only part of their system I don't suggest is the filter. Their filters are junk, but the rest of their stuff is pretty good and really cheap. Most of the pieces are less than $15 and you can probably build an entire system for less than $100.

nckissfan, is that a stock strut tower brace? I'm new to the mustang world and I bought a 98 cobra a month ago and mine doesn't have a brace, I was just wondering if that was stock.

Can you still put caster/camber plates? Now I hate my car. lol. I'm new to this mustang stuff, but I thought 96-98 were the same. What other differences are there? Fill me in on how my car isn't as cool as yours. lol.

The only thing diff between our cars is that yours didn't come with a STB. A stock one should fit yours, though. We bought my father-in-law a BBK one for his 98 cobra.
HP and rear-end gears , etc. are the same stock for 96-98 I'm pretty sure.
