Yes I have a 2000 SVT Cobra R with about 14000 open track miles on it. Nice to see you on the board. Will you be coming to the SCMC event at VIR the end of May?

Hi,

I have the Steeda #05 95R IMSA Race car(R #82 out of 250).
The R board here is usually pretty quiet. Its nice to see it up and running a little.

The R board here is usually pretty quiet.

That's because I haven't bought my 2000 R yet! :rotf:

Maybe you should try a 95R. Where the R actually meant race.

While a 95R isn't out of the question, it doesn't have the power and torque that a 2000R has....

While a 95R isn't out of the question, it doesn't have the power and torque that a 2000R has....The 2000 R is an expensive toy for track use, for us working stiffs

I look into a 351 based engine for your 94 track car

for 20% the cost of the 2000 R you have just as much fun

Somewhere down the line it'll either be a 95 or 2000 R in the stable.

I think the 00R is an awesome car. But racing isn't really about the car that has the most power and torque. Is it? There are rules to keep the HP and Torque in a certain range.

There wasn't a race for the 00R. While the 00R had its market run, the race car was still the 95R.

I've got a dvd disc that shows my 95 R finishing 2nd at Daytona in 1996. That doesnt happen with a 00R.

I don't race formally so if all I am going to do is HPDE which is what I like to do, then I would opt for the 2000 R if funds allow. If funds don't allow then it'll be a 1995 Cobra R for me. Don't get me wrong, I like the 95 R's but I would prefer a 2000 R if I had the choice.

When you run HPDE, it is always nice to have that extra hp and torque.

Racing used to be about who could have the most hp and tq until they started regulating it like they do NASCAR. It really should go back to the old way, the one with the most HP/TQ usually wins!
