Isn't that kind of a low number? Most stock GT500s are in the 430+ rwhp range. Was it dynoed in 4th? Mine dynoed at 437.

Depends on what type of dyno...looks like Robbie's was on a Mustang Dyno which tends to show more of a "real world" number b/c it's a loaded dyno (like driving it on the street)...Dynojet numbers tend to be a little bit more elevated

Yes, but 412 seems a bit lower for a GT500 from the results I have seen and read :dunno:

true, I cannot remember what % people use on the Mustang vs Dynojet dyno's, but if it's 10%, then the 412rwhp seems pretty realistic...

My 68 Fak Snak GT500 Vert Clone is gone! I have moved up 40 years to a 08 GT500 Vert. I am really liking this car and have tons of questions of anyone who has installed the Ford Racing Performance or Drag Pack.
I have hung around this Forum for years with my 07 Roush but now I have Jack & Shell in the garage! On the Performance Packs:Here is Power Pack #1 that takes the car to the same output as a GT500KR.
I hear you can't go wrong with the FRPP power package and it won't void the warranty if installed by the dealer.
http://www.fordracingparts.com/part...rtKeyField=9968 (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=9968)
Number 2 has more cool stuff, but no rear exhaust and I can’t find a HP rating. I also don’t know if I was going to switch gears why I would only go to 373s and not 410s. The 6 speed is pretty effortless on the highway. Also will the shorty headers work on the current exhaust??

Rick,
I know it won't void the warranty if you have it installed by the dealer, but for $2k, you could get a lot of aftermarket parts with more power. IMO, I would go with a JLT carbon fiber intake, then a smaller pulley on the blower, with a custom dyno tune. These two easy bolt on's should net you in the low-mid 500 rwhp range and cost less than $2k. Then you could add some suspension parts on top of that. The FRPP shorty headers will bolt to the factory exhaust, but I would save the headers for when your pushing more power.
check this out and they are a sponsor on the board:

You need to contact Vernon Banks aka Sandman! He has changed the pulley, CAI, headers, exhaust, xpipe, suspension, gearing, etc. I think he is currently running 600rwhp and he abuses that car at the track. Most of his work was done by Dan @ ProDyno and a few lowly mechanics at Junior's Garage in Apex, NC. His car is really fast, but it still can't hang with the real deal 03 Terminator Cobra!!:D

I had an 03 10th Terminator and still miss it. Love the GT500 and I just want to add some of the Ford Racing KR upgrades. I will use the Roush Stage 3 for the track and Mods. I have made a basic mod list and now need to do homework. OK, I am a sissy man and my list is all Ford Racing Warranty Approved stuff!
Thanks again, I will have the Roush at the Woodward Cruise and the Gingerman event in September. Hope to see some of you there.

It's only warranty approved if a Ford Dealer installs it as I was told. Just make sure you get the right info.

Yep, I was aware of this now the challenge is finding the right guy at the dealer to work with. The former service manager was as good as it gets but he has moved on.
My goal is do it all withing the Warranty and Ford Racing Guidelines.
Appreciate the pointers.,

A few more... :D Looks like I'm your guinea pig for mods you may want to consider on an 09 Vista Blue GT500. You'll get a good idea of what your car will look and sound like with the exhaust, auto shield, and the motorsport racing springs at the end of Feb for the SVT gathering in Fort Mill. I had the springs installed along with the alignment last week at the dealership which lowered the car an inch or so and Steve is installing the auto shield tomorrow. I may have the JLT CAI by then... will have to wait and see. After that, I'll just play with her like she sits unless I see a nice set of wheels. I like the OZ Racing Raffaello III and Superleggera III wheels and just can't decide which ones to go with yet.

Just got my car back from Steve. It will take a few days and some heat (probably from a hair dryer) to have the protectant film to "cure" and seat correctly. He promised to stand by his work if and replace any of the pieces if I was unsatisfied for any reason and that is all you can ask for. Steve is a great guy and I have been pleased with his professionalism and the quality of his work.
I spoke with some of my friends in the road racing community who have put Mustangs on the track and they HIGHLY recommended the Ford Motorsport Racing springs to lower the Shelby. Eibach lowers the car a little too much according to the racers. Basically, the Shelby needs some body roll to get through the corners effectively. Too much body roll and you have understeer, too little and you will have over steer characteristics and the back end will tend to step out on you. So I went with their recommendation. The rear is still a little higher than I expected, however the car really sticks to the road in the corners now. I guess those racer types know what they are talking about!:bounce:

MMX King Cobra

Just adding my "baby" of 4 weeks: Stock GT500/SVT Cobra "stripe-delete" (no rocker or LeMans stripes; and no stripes on the black interior). Many magazines call the 2010 the "...fastest PRODUCTION car made in the World!" Hence, I call my MMX ("2010" in Roman Numerals) a "K I N G C O B R A"--NOT to be confused with the anemic 1978 King Cobra. This car runs 540 HP at 510 ft.-pds.:) :) :)

/\ youres is sharp as hell too! I like the wheels very unique as well. (in a good way;) ) I was on the edge with the white wheels but it ended up looking great but a cleaning nightmare. I really hated that ford didnt paint the bottom of the car so i cleaned that up and also got rid of the truck mirrors for the 2010s...i may have a new KB LC if taxes work out in my favor. 700+rwhp coming up:cool:
