Howdy from Vegas!

Hey all!

Just thought I'd drop in and say hi from beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada! Bought my first Ford last week and it happens to be a black 1996 SVT Cobra Coupe. :bounce: Nothin' like startin' off right, eh? :D

When growing up I used to build mostly GM products and race against my friend's Fords. Kind of ironic that now I get into Fords. ;) :cool:

I'm glad I found this site. From what I've seen over the past couple of days, there are some great people here with some great info! :thumbsup: I'll definitely need that since I don't know much about Fords....yet! :thumbsup: :rotf:

Well, if you all ever have some sort of meet in or around Vegas, definitely let me know!

Great looking snake. Glad to have you here and yes you probably been flagged with :ttiwwop: .

Please enjoy tourself and just ask for info when needed. I know someone will chime in and offer help. I started with a 97 triple black and enjoyed it and sometimes I miss it. I had alot of work and time into the snake to get it where I wanted and asked several ?? on here. I still even have some of the parts for still.

SuperG - Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I definitely made sure the AC was workin' before I bought the car. However, I did put up a post in the tech section because I am having a little issue with it (idle issue with the AC being on). Hopefully I'll get some answers there so I can suggest some fixes to the dealer I have to take it to tomorrow. :eek:

Yup, they open the track to test and tune right at "The Strip" at Las Vegas Motor Speedway...the cool thing is I'm only like 6 miles away...WOOHOOO! LOL Man, am I in trouble. LOL

Welcome to the forum, hope you join the club.
I live in Virginia much of the year, but I do have a condo up in Mesquite and spend several days a year in Vegas. I drive by the track/strip/Shelby complex many times when I'm out there. Maybe we can do a Vegas meet sometime.

By the way, my 99 Cobra just turned 185,000 miles, some of which was from NC to Vegas and back.

Red - yup, joined the club on Friday mornin'. Just waitin' for my welcome packet. LOL :D I know right where all that is at LVMS. Been at the track several times. :D Would be cool to do a Vegas meet sometime...I was just wondering if they ever do any type of actual meets/car shows out here (the Cobra club, that is). :bounce:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a Cobra over 150k+ LOL Seems like everyone freaks when I tell them the mileage of the car. :rolleyes: :rotf:
