im from kingsport tn and was thinking of driving down for the show driving back and then backdown for the run cause it would be sadly cheaper than staying in a hotel :rolleyes: lol

I saw your other post after I made mine here.

Yes, all Ford vehicles can be in the show.

We typically leave the Krystal's by 7:30 am which is located at 410 Lovell Rd (exit 374 off I-40). We may need to leave earlier this year as we are planning to do things a little differently and are looking at running the Dragon both directions.

No biggie about posting in both. :)

It can be pretty much an all day event. Several of us live in other states and have to go home on Sunday so some people cut out at different times depending on how far they have to go to get home.

Typically we meet, head towards Townsend and take the foothills parkway down to 129 and run the Dragon. From there we may make a stop or two. Last year we went to the dam. Then we cruise to a restaurant for lunch. Last year we went to a place in Cherokee, NC and then the TN group cruised back to TN and the rest of us headed for home.

This year we will run the dragon both directions, go back up the foothills parkway to Townsend and then head up towards Pigeon Forge for lunch and some opportunities for additional activities.

i was looking to order a 17x10.5 wheel for the rear and someone just told me that the wheel would fit but the tire (315x35x17) wouldnt fit a stock car or something

It depends on the wheel you get and the tire.

I have the Replica 04 SVT 10.5 chrome wheels for the rear with Summitomo 315s. I put the MM bolts on to be safe but did not have any clearance issues when I was at VIR this year.

Others have had issues with different wheel and tire combos due to different wheel backspacing and the tire widths do vary between manufacturers.

ahh ill just wait till i get back from the beach in the first week of september before i get the wheels


but they are gonna be 17x9 black fr500s for the front and 17x10.5 for the rear :thumbsup:

Welcome.

Car sounds nice. IMO a 2V sounds better than a 4V. Especially when cammed. My old 99 Roush Stage 2 sounded better than my Slowbra. My Slowbra still sounds pretty good though.
