We prepared for Hannah. Everyone had their class A rain gear expecting the worst. We even had an influx of the 4WD guys and girls looking to show off their superior wet weather grip. Well, Hannah arrived late, we all got 9 dry pavement runs in and we were safely enjoying some cold ones by the time she finally decided to show. Hannah's threat kept the attendance down (30 participants) but that only made it better for those who made it.
I want to thank the creative and hard working course designers. These guys continue to amaze me in coming up with innovative courses no matter what I throw at them. Nice job guys! :thumbsup:
I also want to thanks the Masiellos taking care of tech. Not always an easy job but they always take it on without a complaint.
Thanks also go to the Seegers for lugging the cones and autox stuff. The new trailer makes it easier but it still adds quite a bit of work on top of car prep and the other things you have to do to get ready to participate. Thanks Jeff and Barb!
I need to thank Chris Masiello and Jeff Seeger for allowing me to drive their cars. As most of you know I've sold my Mustang and I'm without a ride until my coupe is ready next season. Chris's car looks like a bucket of bolts, but it handles really well especially in his hands. Mastering the non ABS brakes is a challenge but he does a great job. He is going to be even quicker next season when the ABS is installed.
Last but not least, a big congratulations to Ralph "The Stig" Stankowski and Kevin Murphy. They had a heck of a battle for FTD. Ralph laid down what turned out to be FTD on his last run but it was very close and a lot of fun to watch them compete together. Thanks guys!
