For all you nascar fans, make sure you catch this weekends race at Bristol. I will be in the parade laps at the begining of both sat and sundays race, with driver in the back of my convertible. I will be taking my dad's mystic down, as it is a bit more flashy than my everyday triple black vert.
Hope the mystic looks good on national tv!:D

My sister said a commercial took over our air time. Anyway - it was still a thrill for us - and what a venue. Here are some pics from today. We expect tomorrow to be better.

Looks good...so how many new members did you get to sign up and did you bring business cards or membership applications with you? :doubt:
I don't understand the event, what did the Mustang have to do with this Nascar event? Was it because the Shelby was the pace car?
What about a "write-up" for the newsletter about your trip? :D

Tony,
Apparently MCA was contacted by NASCAR and Ford Racing for participation regarding the 45th anniversary of the Mustang. MCA requested MCO to contribute 14 of the 43 Mustang convertibles needed. I contacted MCO president, Ron Gallagher, and was assigned one spot. But since I was leaving on vacation I couldn't participate. After twisting Michael's arm to drive my car to Bristol, drive a NASCAR driver around the track prior to both races this weekend in front of a national TV audience, get race tickets at the start/finish line, he agreed to do it (it was a hard sell on my part). Yesterday Michael drove Danny O'Quinn around for the parade lap. Can't wait to hear who he has today. I'll post once I hear back from him.

Pictures look great John. Can't wait to see what you took on Sunday.
The weekend was great, weather was perfect, and everything went off without a hitch. Driving around the track at Bristol was unbelievable! Having all the drivers walk 5 feet from me was crazy. :D I took over 600 pictures this weekend, once I go through them, I will post the god ones!

That's weird. I thought I had already posted my Sunday pics. hmmm - how'd that happen? Let's try this again.
Here are pics from today - our driver was Reed Sorenson. My buddy also hooked us up with some suite tickets. What a view - and not as loud. And Jack Roush came down to say "Hi" as well. What a great weekend.

Those look very good John!
I don't mean to kill you but some members don't visit the forums and they like the newsletter a lot. You did such a good job on the last article, I thought you might want to share your adventures with the rest of the club. Of course, Mikey can do it also since he writes really good, too. :D

I also plan on writing something up...just trying to get some sleep first. I took over 600 pictures, so it is going to take some time to go through them. Here is a little teaser.

Hey Tony
I gave Mike the SVT Cobra Mustang Club magnetic door signs and even cleaned them and put them on his car. I don't know why they don't show up in any of the pictures??????? ;) :dunno: :nope: :nono: :whipit:

You really can't see it in the pictures, but Ford made us run the Drivers number on the one side of the car. And I originally had one on the other side, but at one point in time, they had us running a HUGE ford logo on the other side (as if people didn't know they were all Ford's)
