OK Shelby guys, time to help out the rookie Shelby owner.
I was out in my car today with the owners manual; you all know what that is, right???
Well I am looking at my gauge cluster and see this one labelled PSI and looking into all the material I received from Ford I can't find out what it is for ... suspect something about the supercharger, but thought I would throw the question out to the experts.
Thanks.

That gauge shows you how many pounds of boost you are running with your supercharger. I want to say your running 8-10 pounds stock??

I just took delivery of my Shelby last week, and my on-road insurance doesn't kick in yet, so I only have 18Kilometers on her. Need 500KM before the supercharger kicks in so right now my PSI Gauge registers zero.

I'm not sure what that converts to but you only need 6-10 miles on the car before the charger starts working, so therefore yours in kicking in and reading on the boost gauge. (PSI)

Not up here in Canada. I just rolled over my requisite 500 Kilometers today and as advertized, my super-charger kicked in. 500 Kilometers is equal to about 310 Miles. I don't know what the difference would be between a US delivered Shelby and a Canadian delivered Shelby, but this is certainly one difference. My PSI Gauge is working normally now also. Thanks for all your commets. My new found power was well used today ... what a blast!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Im a rookie too. I just bought my 09 shelby on this past tuesday. The service department was already closed when I bought her. She only had 10 miles when I took her home, but they said that I needed to bring the car back in so they could turn the super charger on. When I drove the car home the first night the psi gauge never moved. After they turned it on I didnt feel a difference and the gauge only turns on when I really step on it. Is this right or should the gauge move all the time? Any help would be great, I saw the 300 mile thing, I only have 160 miles on her, do I need to hit 300 or so for it to finally kick in??

Congrats on the new Snake!!
The dealership doesn't have to "turn" the supercharger on, it is done by the car's computer.
Your boost does not engage until you mash the pedal and hit 5000 rpms. I read somewhere that full boost engages when you hit 50 start ups or drive cycles.

Thanks, yeah I dont know I brought it in and they did there thing so I don't know. They told me they disconnect the battery and do some pumping of the gas pedal and something else to ingage it. Thanks again for the info.
