Well not only is my car running a little hot, Its now "missing". I kinda has a little misfire but not enough to trip the check engine light. If first started only on acceleration, it now does it on idle and acceleration. I changed the spark plugs, the old ones were badddd. new air filter and oil change. The wires are good. I'm kinda hoping its one of the injectors. My uncle drove my car the other day and put regular unleaded gas. So i let it run all the way out and filled up with premium at Shell. I always put premium. So tomorrow, i'm gonne get the injectors serviced. any other ideas??? Thanks alot. Oh and someone told me that it might be the head gasket since its heating up a bit and now its missing. so i dont know. any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

new fuel filter perhaps? it might not help out a whole lot, but its an easy cheap thing to do.

I would bet its the coils or wires. I don't see what year car this is, but I change the wires (every two years) on my 96 with every other set of plugs (every year). I'd be surprised to see this caused by gas. I've had several wires go bad. I've damaged them during a plug change. Check the code and see what cylinder it is. Is it always the same one? If you want to troubleshoot more and spend money less, you can swap the wire from the misfire cylinder with another one and see if the problem moves. When my coils have acted up in the past, it was only under full throttle and high rpm. They run fine below 5000 rpm. I've switched to MSD wires and coils in my car. Cheaper than the Ford ones and more durable.
