I'm not over here much as I don't own any SVT stuff, yet...
I remember reading somewhere that the 5 actual 94 Cobra Pace Car convertibles used at Indy were automatics?
Also was said if I ever saw a 94 Pace Car with an automatic I should buy it immediately. Any idea of what the VINs for these 5 should be? I did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything on the actual track cars.

"""The third and last Mustang to pace the Indy 500 was the 1994 Mustang Indy Pace Car. These were 1994 Rio Red Cobra Mustang Convertibles. Three cars were prepared for on-track duty. Relatively few modifications were needed to prepare them. They were equipped with specially calibrated electronic four-speed automatic transmissions (in place of the stock 5-speed manual), a racing fuel cell, some suspension upgrades, a fire extinguishing system, and a true roll bar. Parnelli Jones, 1963 Indy winner and 1970 SCCA Trans-Am champ, drove the pace car. """
The it is unknown if these were part of the 1000 Pace Car Production Run, or proto types.
But do not get fooled into buying an Automatic Pace Car so fast Ford , produced about 40 Parade cars that looked like the Pace Car but were really Mustang GTS these all were Rio red with saddle top& interiors.
These were used in the parade laps before the race.
And latter sold to the public.

This is a PARADE CAR as you can see it is a 1994 Mustang GT with Indy Pace Car Decals.
There is no embroidery on the back of the front seats
It has a 5.0 HO engine , instead of the GT40

Does not show "Cobra" on the steering wheel air bag, too. ;)
