Got a 97 Cobra, w/ BBK o/r x-pipe, chokemasters (which I hate), I think a Mac cai elbow (fenderwell) and a SCT w/ custom tune. I ordered a JLT cai and I know it will be an improvement over the Mac. I can get a new FRPP 90mm maf (nib) for a good price will this improve my rwhp, I am at 284 and 285rwtq? Would I need biger injectors to go with the maf. I also have BBK udp to install and MSD coils and wires left over from my 2v. Thanks guys.

the MSD coil packs wont help you any, stock ones are good enough.

the bigger MAF is not necessary, unless you are supercharged. So, save your money. Get a new shifter, MGW is what a lot of us run. Subframe connectors will help the car a lot. Get some gears, that will wake up the car a lot. I have 4.10's, and love them. But, I hear a lot of 4.30's.

Like Mike said, get the 4.10's and don't look back as that will give you the biggest kick in the pants.

You can also get some underdrive pullies, I believe Steeda has a good set up.

CAI, open exhaust, and UD pullies should net you around 300 rwhp with a tune. The 4.10's will make you feel like you have 350 rwhp.

As mentioned...stick with the stock MAF as you will gain nothing from it and possible lose a little low end torque.

The coil packs won't do you any benefit either.....

And again...another vote to go with some gears. 4.10s or 4.30s will really wake up the car and make it feel like you've removed a few hundred pounds.

I went with 4.10's as my very first mod to my 96 and it made a HELLLLLL of a difference for the car. Felt like I added on 50 hp by the feeling it gave me. Definitely a step in the right direction and I have these guys to thank me for that info...definitely give them a listen. They know what they are talkin' about!
