I am a new '98 Cobra owner and am noticing that when I get on it from about 75% throttle on up - the AC blows out warm air for a few seconds.
Do all stock Cobra's do this? I heard that some chips/programmers can be set to turn your AC/ compressor off when you get on it and am wondering if mine has a tune even though the previous owner said it was stock down to the paper air filter. Or is this some kind of vacuum process?

I believe that is a stock function as is the case on most late model cars.

Yes this probably is stock, I am just trying to find out for sure and see if anybody else notices this without a tune. I found where 2005+ Mustangs do this but I have been in many newer cars, Ford and others that don't do this. Thanks,

My 97 has a stock tune and has it.

Pretty sure most all cars do this these days - you just don't always notice it. Even my old 1992 Maxima did it - above a certain RPM at WOT the AC would declutch and then reclutch after it upshifted.

Don't feel bad mine won't work at any RPM at all.
