Long story short. 12 November 2009 my 01 Cobra got drowned. The local shop here has not been able to get it finished or even started to work on it so I will be doing an alternative idea. Any suggestions about a reputable location in on or near 23452 for me to take my broken 01 snake for the engine replacement. Insurance Company paid and will be paying again I expect. Thanks.

There is a place in VA that everyone uses for tuning but I do not remember the name. You can always tow it to Pro-Dyno for an engine replacement and tuning. :)

Looking into old posts and msgs. I printed a long time ago. May need to find someone to take the car to today. The shop that has had it since it was towed there right after it died is owned by a friend. However, even though the insurance has paid a nice check to the shop to do the job my friend has incurred great difficulties in his life that have interfered with the money that the insurance company paid him. Have a lot of extras to install when the engine was to come out. Cam kit from Ford and springs, shocks and struts, a lot of regular replacement stuff too. The friend has offered to do all the work at no charge but since the time that has elapsed is so great...it has taken too much of a toll on me and my life so I think we will have to do something else.

Randy replaced my 99 Cobra engine with a 2004 Mach 1 crate engine.
I'd recommend him since he knows mod motors as well as anyone I've heard of.

Try Performance Autosport (PAS) in Richmond, VA. Ask for Don Rositch. www.performanceautosport.com (http://www.performanceautosport.com) -- they are the best!!!

The shop that has had my car since November 2009 says I will have it finished around the week of the sixth of September 2010. Hope this actually comes to fruition. The fr500 cams and the new crate engine as well as the new springs...hope it is like a new car...or at least different. At this point a car that works might just be good enough...but I am still a Mustang freak!

Seems after I bought a thermostat and I bought a coolant temperature sensor/switch...the car runs fine. Go figure.
