Chuck Hicks' shelby came to us with a tune and a CAI making 494HP 499TQ. After talk with
Chuck we decided on a plan and set out for 700+. WE went with the 2.9L FRPP Whipple kit
with 67mm cobrajet TB, 72# injectors, JLT CAI, FORE fuel rails, Innovators West 10% lower pully,
KOOKS longtubes, Dynotech driveshaft, AFCO dual pass dual fan intercooler and Moroso expansion and intercooler
reseviors,custom switches for cooling at the track, and a custom ProDyno tune. In the end we came
to 726RWHP 743RWTQ.
After a lackluster showing at the track on drag radials and stockish suspension we moved in that
direction. We started with a set of fully adjustable shocks and struts, custom springs, and LCA's. As for wheels
we used Race stars 15x10 and 17x4.5 with 28/10.5/15 M/T ET drags and 26/4.5/17 M&H racemasters
respectively. All of this combined has sent the car down the eighth mile at a best of 6.93 @ 105MPH.
