I wanting to get a new set of harnesses for sequential tail lights. The kind I want is when you apply the brakes, both sides go in sequence as well as working sequentially when you hit the signal. The one I saw at American Muscle didn't do the brake light sequence, is there another place to get these or is this a different type or are they all the same? I want plug and play and not the splice in type...

Tony - are you sure?
The way I believe they all work - they sequence continually with the turn signal or flasher - ONLY. They sequence ONCE when the brakes are applied - and I believe that is a DOT requirement. I don't believe any sequential setup has a repeated sequence when brakes are applied...

I have the CDC lights from my 40th package. I think this is what all the vendors sell. I just looked at Amercian Muscle and that looks to be the same...

The video on AM does not show it sequencing once. That's what I meant, sequence once then all of the brake lights come on....that's the way I saw it on Sandman's Shelby.
Found these and they advertise the following.
Now available with Smart-Sequence... This is a new technology that makes your tail lights sequence ONLY when a signal is on. Some states do not allow the brake lights to sequence, even one time. With Smart-Sequence, when you hit the brakes, all lamps come on at once.
You can Disable Smart-Sequence to make your brake lights sequence once each time you press the brake pedal. To do this, simply remove the phone chord that connects between the two sequential harnesses. This will also allow the hazards to sequence each time the flasher clicks on.

They do say in the write-up that it sequences once with brakes...check the page again...
"Sequential. When activated the turn signals or hazard lights will sequence from the center light out and repeat until switched off. When the brakes are applied, the tail lights will sequence once and then stay lit during braking."

I have the one-touch convertible top control from them and haven't had any problems.
The kit appears to be plug-play like the CDC. Also - their FAQ area says you can enable or disable the brake sequencing - if you wanted. Tho I imagine you could do the same with the CDC kit - it's a matter of running another control wire to module under the dash. In any case - I haven't had any issues passing VA inspection.
