Glad to hear the weather's gonna cooperate!

This will be my first track experience, so I want to make sure I'm prepared.

1. What else do I need besides a helmet (SA2005/2010), long sleeve shirt, and long pants? Sneakers okay?
2. What is required for the car to pass tech inspection?

Thanks -- can't wait!

We still have one small problem before we can make this happen and the weather is looking oh so good. We need 32 people or otherwise it isn't worth the track's time to man the event.

Since we will have such a small group, it will be very casual and low keyed. Click the attachment below for the "tech inspection" sheet.

Thanks!

So, with 15 signed up, and 32 needed, what's the chances of this happening? I ask because I need to cancel my hotel by 4pm tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon, and I need to schedule my brake system flush/inspection tomorrow or Friday.

Thoughts? Should I do it, just in case?

Thanks!

We are definitely doing Saturday, no question about it!!!

Depending on how many people want to do Sunday, we will do it also. We will not know that till Saturday at lunch when all of the participants let us know. I've had a ton of phone calls today and people are coming due to the great weather. If I were to guess, I'd say we will do Sunday also but I am not guaranteeing that 100%. I know it shows 15 but I've told a lot of people to now just pay at the gate and that's why I cannot give a definite answer for Sunday.

thanks for letting me hang out today, Tony. Sorry, I had to run, my back was aching real bad, so I headed out to get some aspirin, and rolled on home.

Sorry you didn't feel good Mike. You should have asked me for an Advil as I had some handy. My car broke on the very last lap of my last session. I think the clutch cable went out because I lost clutch for a few minutes and then it came back after the car cooled down. Not sure what went wrong but I'll have Dan look at it next month sometime. :(

sucks the clutch went haywire, but at least it was when you were almost done.

Hey Tony...sorry to here about the car problems. I didn't even bring my car and still had problems....a fun day nevertheless! Managed to get off about 60 photos before breaking my Nikon lens. Sorry to anyone I missed on track.

Thanks y'all, I think it was more the clutch cable but Dan will take a look at it next month. I looked at your photos as a "slide show" and it looked awesome, especially the sunrise. Hate you dropped the camera, hope it won't be too expensive to fix. :)

hopefully, we can see more video. There were several participants with GoPro cameras mounted to the front of their cars. Any way of finding out if they got video? One of them was the fella with the dark gray GT500, the one that was his first time on the track. There was a blue GT500, I believe, that had one, as well.

Um, I think the gray was Andrew, I don't know who had the blue one. I'll have to look it up in the laptop. :)
