Hello from Houston

Hello everyone! I’m glad I found you…



I'm a retired racer and to satisfy my need for speed I picked up a 2011 Kona Blue GT 500 Coupe a couple weeks ago -- I love it, what a machine!



Now I’m looking for some experienced Houston locals to help me tune this beast. Tuning a car like this is outside my realm, I get the fundamentals but I don’t know what I’m doing specific to this car. I can use some help and guidance, any input is appreciated… (names, phone numbers, web sites, etc.)



Also looking for some track days – TWS, MSR, TMS, etc.

You should come on out to the SVT Superfest in May. There will be a ton of Shelbys, Cobras, and Mustangs at the event. You'll also get to drive on one of the most popular tracks in the country. :thumbsup:

All right -- another "track dawg" in Houston. The VIR event is a great event, but it's a long, long, long way from Texas. The best way to meet most of the other addicted people in the SCMC club here in Houston is to come to TWS in College Station the weekend of March 26-27. There are currently several of us SCMC members from here in Houston that will be attending an event there. We should be together in the garages as a group if all goes as planned. Look for my '95 white Cobra #66 and come by and introduce yourself. I have also PM'd you my contact information.

Welcome to the board! Not sure where GT500 owners are going in Houston for tunes, but the best work I have had so far is Fastlane on FM 1960.

Go to TWS, even only if you will be watching and not participating...you won't regret it!
