Who is going to Gingerman from the southeast? I'm looking for who may be interested in a caravan.
So far that I know of is me, John P. and Lias M. Anybody else?

What I would like to do, and it is only a suggestion, is stop in Kentucky. There's a KOA campground at exit 62 which is 2 miles north of Mount Vernon. I would assume that there would be a hotel or something at the exit or at least close by for those not very fond of campground bath houses.
Here's the website for the KOA campground... http://www.renfrovalleykoa.com
I can probably leave work early on Thursday. Probably not any earlier than 12:00 or 1:00 though. When I leave work, I'll be packed up and ready to go though, so I can be near Ashville by 3:00 or so.
From my house, the best route is I-26 to Asheville, then through Knoxville, Lexington, Cincinnati, Inianapolis, etc. Is that preety much what you guys had planned?

Just got off the phone with the KOA at Renfro Valley and there is a Days Inn and a Comfort Inn at the same exit (exit 62 on I-75).

Hey guys looks like a lotta stuff being slung since I was here last.
How ya'll been? I've been working, going to Atlanta tonight... anybody want to co pilot?
I gotta get ready for the trip to Gingerman.
I am leaving Thursday AM...gotta be in Michigan on Friday AM... Paul's Hi Performance before Gingerman. Black car is making too much black exhaust. Running rich....power loss...broken dreams...you know the story.
Then I am going to Columbus, Ohio on Monday to the Boss shop there, they are restoring my shaker, gonna pick it up and check out some more goodies. Just didn't want ya'll to think I was anti-social...
see ya somewhere in Michigan :bounce:

I can commit to 3:30. That will put me in Asheville around 5:30. I'm just hoping that's not too late for you folks.
Hey Big Daddy, isn't there a rest area on I-40 just west of I-26? I seem to remember one, but don't see it on my GPS maps.
If not, is there anywhere you local Asheville folks can suggest to have three people pulling trailers to meet. Somewhere off of I-40 west of I-26...

Hey John, I'm going out to pack up the RV and trailer now for Road Atlanta tomorrow. It's not really that far of a drive for you to take the Mystic out there. :D
We gotta get some practice in for Gingerman so that we can properly represent the South! :rotf:

we can try to see what's on the Smokey Mountain Parkway exit, right after the 26/40 intersection, and see what 's there....
