Just finished the install of a intake spacer. What a pain. Was amusing though to do it. Hope to see something from it.

What is an intake spacer?

Intake spacer typically goes between upper and lower intake and increases the plenum volume. Some claim they make more power.

I'd love to see your before and after dyno results.

Here's a picture of one.

Another link to someone selling them with pics, description, and claims of 10-12 HP.

Interesting. The name made me think it was a spacer for the throttle body so I asked the question.

Spacer do not work, do to you have Port Fuel Injection. Spacer only work for carburetor or tb injected vehicles, to help give more space for the fuel and air to atomize/ mix; that will give better HP and TQ.

Well, this spacer seems to have done two things. It feels like there is an improvement in power. Not astronomical, but something more nevertheless. In addition the throttle response feels like it is quicker, especially in the lower and mid rpm range. Had three hundred at the wheels before, going to do a custom tune shortly. I would expect a base run will be done first. I'll post the results. All in all I do like it even though it was not so fun to install. I am thinking though it likely wouldn't do much if I didn't already have the other mods first.

So, how does this compare to the "before" dyno sheet? Looks like 302 peak HP and 301 peak TQ. I'm really interested in what happened between 3500 and 6000 RPM.

Your logic makes sense but I'm curious to see what shows up on the dyno. I was considering one primarily because I have an interference issue between my intake/throttle body and my valve cover after mixing parts. The half inch of clearance would be helpful.
