First off, I am assuming this is a ground wire. I recently replaced my original hood liner (97 Cobra) with an aftermarket hood liner from hoodliners. net.
The original hood liner had a wire attached from the body to the hood liner. My question is ..What was this wire for and do I need to somehow attach it back. (It was permentally attached to the original hood liner) or construct something else to do the job.
Thanks for help in advance.

Just a guess that perhaps it helped w/ static charge.

Most of the time a wire like that would be for radio suppression.

I thought it was for the radio, too. I took my hood blanket off. I don't listen to the radio, though, so could not tell you if it did anything to the radio.
