View Full Version : Delivery Date

I just spoke with my dealer and he advised me that I have a dealer delivery ETA of June 6.

The car was ordered the very day that the car was unveiled to the world in Chicago.

The dealer status report that he faxed me shows a "status date" of 5/22. Perhaps this is a build date? It was originally scheduled to be built the week of 5/13. Maybe we've been pushed back a week.

That's right cobragb! You'll have to forgive me if my next Cobra is blue though because I don't really like have two red ones because everyone thinks it is the same car. ;)

I just got a call from my sales guy... My build date is June 10, so I should be getting this car within the next 8 weeks. I called for the VIN #, so I could price insurance.

Insurance agents don't seem to differ cobra from a GT, or is it just me???

They didn't even know what my friends saleen was, but he gave them the VIN and they said that it comes up at as mustang GT.

I wonder if the same is true for Cobras???

Only 93-95 models. The rest come up as Cobras.:p

Saleen's are actually modified GT's. The insurance companies don't have any idea they have been mod'd. They will of course know the difference between a GT and a Cobra...you can believe that...

Cheers,

I just got off of the phone w/my dealer who advised me that my "ETA to Dealer" has been pushed back from 6/3 to the week of 6/24. Bummer!

I spoke w/a source at SVT & he said the first shipments are scheduled for next week.

Maybe by weeks end, we'll be hearing about some happy campers!

Remember - you promised me a ride in that '03 Cobra as soon as that '98 Cobra with the North Carolina light bar comes rolling thru town .....

  :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Don't forget to submit a picture when you get it !!

Victor Ford has one coming in the end of next week ... there going to call me so I can go up and see it. They have a black one that isn't sold yet. (coupe) ... but the rest of them (7) are sold..

... no I'm not selling Trigger. never !! She's here to stay. Just want a ride in an '03 !!
Take care!

Sorry, no droptop. I want to take it to the dragstrip and not have to worry about a roll bar. :(

Do a few mods to it and you might need a cage. :D Don't most tracks require a cage of some kind for under 12 secs? I know the tracks around here do. Guess we'll see in another couple weeks when these start hitting the tracks. :bounce:

Cool Joe, I didn't know you had an 03 on order. Make sure you put it in the members car section. I heard they will be running mid 11's with a few mods done to it. A little birdie told me. ;):bounce:

BTW, if you sell you current Cobra leave an application in there or in the owners manual. :)

Yep, waiting until the 2nd run, getting Dark Shadow Grey. Hopefully we don't see any problems with the 1st run and there will be many ppl testing mods so we will know what we need/can add. I will definately let the new owner know about the club and do what I can to get them signed up. That reminds me, need to get my check sent in for renewal.
