Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good cam for our cars. I don't want something that has so much lift that I'm going to have to pull the heads off to check the clearance. I want a solid performance gain that can be used with the 1.7 rockers. Then I'm going to get this thing tuned. I'm getting sick of getting killed on the straights after I run people down in the corners. Any suggestions?

Oh, right now the car has BBK equal length shorty headers, Off road H-pipe, BBK under drive pulleys, BBk Cold air intake, and the EGR deleted. The timing is at 15 degrees and I have 3.73 gears. The car runs great for what it is. Just looking for more HP for the BMW's and others.

Jeff, what hp do you have now at the rear wheels? You've already changed the rear gears and your windsor is limited with a stock block. Did you change the heads on the car?

No heads yet. I know thats going to be my biggest gain but not sure if I want to go that far yet. I was thinking a mild cam could net me another 15-20 hp with a good tune doing about the same. I don't have real #'s for what I'm putting down but I bet its maybe 240rwhp with my mods. I want to do the cam and then get a tune and see what she does.

My buddy was saying maybe a F cam would be the way to go? He's built more than a few 5.0's

I'm not looking for crazy power. I just want a little more than I got.

A tune is worthless without heads so get the heads and an F cam and get Dan to tune it. You'll be close to the 300 at the rear wheels which will make you a little happier. :)
