Mustang 50th at Charlotte Motor Speedway - April 16-20, 2014

The SCMC will have a display area at the Mustang 50th Celebration. We will also be going out to eat together as a group at a nearby restaurant or maybe we will cruise to a location that won't be quite as crowded as the local restaurants.

If you want to display with us, please post here. We need your name, car year, color, and type along with the number of people in your party.

In addition to the MORE group tag, each participant will have a static cling decal in their credential packet that will provide them access to inside the track (on a first come basis) if they should choose to venture there. If they are able to get inside, the "stay until 5 pm" rule will apply. In the MORE lot they can come and go as they please.


MORE group participants will pickup their credentials at a different desk in the registration atrium at the Embassy Suites. That desk will be clearly marked.

Saw that there are 26 spots in area 13 for SCMC members from the map and see there are 23 names listed. With the extended registration that Steve informed me of the other day are there 3 available spots open in that area, of which one I could slide into? Just seeing what is or isn't possible at this point. Also FYI I will have some prep work done at PAS on 3 April to get ready for this event, they take great care of us SCMC guys (everyone really).

Whose going on the cruise to Kannapolis on Friday night? With 500 cars arriving at the same time it may be a struggle to find a place to eat for us. Put your 50th decal on the driver's side and drive to the front of the track where the main gate is located. The main gate is located at Hwy 29 and Bruton Smith Blvd. Cross over Hwy 29 into the race facility. Turn right at the perimeter road and we are located just inside the parking area on the right. Go to section 13 where the club trailer is located. there is plenty of room for everyone to fit in there so if you are signed up for the MORE area, not to worry, we can easily get you in there. See you in the am!
