We (buddy of mine from Charlotte and I) and Jon Starnes (for you guys familiar with the Honda Challenge guys, the jet airplane sounding white Itegra Type R with the Redline Oil sponsor decals) went to an auto-x in Winston-Salem, NC yesterday. We ran into JohnBASF up there as well. Shugg, Banana, others, this stuff is pretty fun I have to admit. If you haven't done it (my second time) you should check it out - no, its not a full on race fix (took the streetcar) but its worth a couple extra heartbeats per minute and it only cost 18 bucks.
John, good seeing you again and nice driving. Let me know when you are doing another and don't park with those Moostink guys next time ;-)

It was great seeing you also. Did Starnes tell Bryan about driving mine on track? ;)

Its a shame they don't post fun run times. So that WAS Jon that turned the 44.51 in your car? Do you think Shugg would have gotten competetive on that? I am thinking a big yes. BTW, Jon said that he liked the car - makes sense now, didn't know he did the fun run with it - a LOT, especially the handling.

I still can't believe he turned in fast time of the day!!! Bryan would of loved that challenge.
First and foremost, nice forum setup!
Now about John's car. Holly smokes! My first reaction was...if someone tells me this car is completely stock, I'm going to be selling my racecar first thing Monday morning to get a Mustang so I can kick Casper's ass in a stock Mustang. Then I found out it had a few goodies on it. BUT STILL, the car handles incredible! I think it handles better than my fully prepared racecar. After the first run, I have a grin coasting after the finish line, then I see the time (fastest time of the day), and it was my first run! The car could have easily dropped a couple more seconds...easily!!! Give John a couple more Auto-x events under his belt and he'll be "The Guy To Beat" at every event! John, you have a serious kick ass racecar, and it doesn't even have a full cage....yet! American Iron series, watch out! Casper...you ain't gotta prayer! Thanks again, and a big thumbs up!!!

Thanks Jon, that means a lot coming from you. Maybe Bryan will get a chance to drive it someday. You were talking about Tom's car(banana), what are my chances?

Jonathan J38S - I met you guys standing over by the timing booth Sunday afternoon wearing the Muscle Motorsports tee-shirt. You were the one driving your wife's car right? Don't know if you get the paper but I thought you'd get a kick out of this if not:

Yeah! That was me. And yep, that was John's car. Can't say enough things about his Mustang....it handles like a freakin' Go-Kart!
John: Yes, I think Tom is going to have some hellacious competition. I remember running with him down at CMP in my car. I do think he's going to have an issue. Guess he better borrow Pantis' hole saw to get some more weight off that car.

That's a scary thought! A racer who is used to an underpowered acura actually driving a car with HP? American Iron (http://www.americaniron-east.com ) was safe until now!!!!

So you liked that torque arm and panhard bar, huh? I need that!!
No, I didn't realize that you tooled around in John's car. That is pretty darn cool that you posted FTD. Grats, Jon! And Grats, John, for having a particularly trick car!!
So you just never stop poking fun at "Casper", do you? Well that's OK. At least mine held up for both races... :D DOH!!
Buy a Moostang Jon and come over to where it's "really at".
