Hi guys new to the forum and I have a question regarding a supercharger pulley swap. Ordered a 2.81 pulley and idler pulley from steeda and the idler pulley is wobbling something horrible. I didn't even install the belt because I wasn't sure if it would cause any damage!! Does anyone know if this is common or am I really that unlucky??? Should I try the pulley with the belt on and see if the wobbling stops? By the way it is an 04 with 6100 miles, bassani xpipe with high flow cats, bassani catback and steeda short throw shifter!! If the pulley is wobbly, definitely don't fire it up that way. My guess is that the pulley isn't seated correctly. I have not done a SC pulley swap on an 03-04 Cobra, but the other accessory drive pulleys spin nice and smoothly when installed properly. Did it come with instructions? Give Steeda a call and/or see if you can get another reply from someone else on here.
I don't mean to send you away from SCMC, but you might check svtperformance.com too.

The idler looks as though it is in properly I'm guessing it's just a bad bearing. Spoke with the manufacturer and they said it was not a common problem so they are shipping a new one and hopefully that will solve the problem. Thanks for responding so quickly!! By the way I will be showing the car at the All Fords National in Carlisle, Pa this June should be a great show.

Well the new pulley arrived today and what a difference!!! Absolutely no wobble and she's running great!!! Thanks again for the advice, waiting for the new one was definitely the right decision.

Great news. Make sure you let Steeda know and/or send back the old one. They may have an issue with the manufacturer that needs to be looked at.

Already sent back the pulley to steeda!! Not sure I I'll hear back from them but the replacement works perfectly. Thanks again.
