I couldn't help thinking about that commercial .... remember? My Little Pony? My daughter used to collect those.....


anyway ..

we are adopting a new "pony" ....

we do not have it yet ...
it is in Colorado Springs awaiting our chance to get off of work and get out there and get it .......

here is a picture of it -

I will tell you the "story" of how and why we decided to buy her later ..... I do not believe in dooing that until "she's" sitting in the garage .....

we are selling our '98 Contour (Spike) to our daughter and son-in-law .....

so much for fixing it up and making a "profit" off of it ....

But then again,
we are making a "profit" off of it......

our son-in-law gets to drive an SVT !!!

Our plan is to haul our '98 out to Colorado Springs

and hopefully meet up with Bubba 1 (Kevin)......


have a shipper pick our '98 up from there and haul it the rest of the way to California ....

then -
Bandit climbs aboard the trailer ....
and we had back east !!


But then again, it depends on our work schedule,
it would be nice to take the '98 all the way out to California and deposit "her" right on our daughters front lawn .....

but then again,
that would be a grueling haul .....
and then, we would have to travel to Colorado with an empty trailer........

decisions, decisions !!

I will tell you the entire story when we get back with her .....

it looks as if we won't be able to get her until the third or fourth week in July ... well - so far anyway ..... things change around here daily ....

Our daughter/son in law are buying the '1998 Contour (not the 2000) .... it's the '98 that we bought late spring...

so, for now, the 65 Mustang will replace that.

Tom just isn't ready for a car like that yet (the Contour)...

it looks as if we are going to "trade" the Contour for their Neon ... it needs fixing up, but it will be good for Tom to start out with a car like that instead....

she's a wee bit rare -

they didn't make quite as many with a red interior ...
and, it's a 4 speed.

It has a 302 in it -
and a few more mod's...

My girlfriend named him Bandit since when I got him, I was wanting to keep getting the car a secret. Nobody but her supported me in getting another Mustang, so when I got him I wanted it to be a secret, and had him "hiding" out in another place. He was black, and bandits were prone to hide out in their time, so the name pretty much stuck. I wanted to call him Smoke, but her name fit better :D

the only people that we have told about this Mustang is everyone in the club.....

our family, in-laws, neighbors and everyone around here would freak if they found out we had another one....

but on the real, my cousin did get in to one. he had a 2000 toyota solara, that was one clean car, but not anymore. he smashed in to a light pole. tacoed the whole car, it was pretty bad. he's okay, but i wish i can say that it was a joke as well. :(

well he's learning to cope with it. he got a new car, but now he has to look for another insurance company because his old one dropped him. i think he now has either 2 or 3 points on his record. he's on probation for about 2 years, and he's got to go to some school for alcohalics...........thats right, he got a DUI. but i guess some people got to learn the hard way. he's a smart guy, he finished last semester in college with a 3.5 gpa, but he just wasn't smart about that night.
