Here's the deal, Chevrolet will sell you a build sheet for a Vette if you want one. There a few bucks. When my 03 Cobra came in I looked all over for the build sheet. Couldn't be found anywhere. So I called SVT and asked if they had a copy of it. They said no, they don't keep copies. I asked if they had a similar plan like the Vette owners where a person can buy a copy of it. I was told no they didn't but if enough people would actually write this request down in the form of a letter to SVT, they would give it serious consideration. Now granted this isn't helping me at this particular time but, we might be able to get it so in the future this is an option open to us. I just thought I would get this out there so you guys could give it consideration. I for one will write SVT and ask that they institute this practice. It beats the heck out of pulling the car apart looking. It's up to you folks. When a bunch of us pull together, we can get anything done.

Well, I guess this was a lame idea. All those reads so far and nobody responds. I guess I'll be the one to ask SVT about this in writing. Whether it ever happens or not I can't say but at least I'll have tried. Thats more than the rest of you have done. Later...

Man, you have a huge chip on your shoulders. I own a 96 and just came by to see what's up. Maybe a lot of the other views are the same. Let some more '03 people get their cars and they'll join in.

Write the letter you want and we can post it on the SCMC website for others to print out and mail out. That way you make it easy on everyone else. Maybe some people aren't too good a journalist. If you do this, then I think you have done all you could do for this situation. What do ya think?

J.D. , we(mystic owners) have been waiting on touch up paint for two years. Someone did what Tony is suggesting. We all responded and nothing has been done yet. Don't feel bad!!!

I'll put together a "form" letter and post it as Tony suggested. I may not be the best writer in the world but I'm sure I can get the point across. Thanks for the suggestion Tony. You guys have a great evening. I'll be in touch !!

OK folks, I put together a letter to SVT as I said I would do. The only problem is getting it on this forum. It's a word document and that is not one of the file types recognized by this software. I scanned it and tried to insert it that way, but the letter was way too big then. If someone can tell me of another way to get it on here I'll be glad to do it. Or if possible, I could e-mail it to someone who knows how to get it on here for everyone to read and then print out. I have a fax for SVT so all you would have to do then is sign and fax the letter. Anyone help out here ?
Oh and Johnbasf, it's not that I've got this big chip on my shoulder, I was not trying to limit the build sheets to 03 users. I was trying to get this done for all SVT owners with the future in mind. At some point many of us will trade or sell our vehicles and buy a new SVT product. When we do, it would be nice to have this option. I was looking out for everyone. Sorry if I came across too harsh. I can understand your frustration with the Mystic paint problem but we won't ever achieve anything if we don't try. Thats what this is all about.
