I need a little more information to go on. What all do you currently have done to your motor? Which motor? Car? Which heads?

95 cobra 5.0 liter, superchargered, headers, 65mm throttle body, crane cam ignition box with timing retard, headers, 2 chambered flowmasters.

my heads are trick flow twisted wedge aluminum heads, o-ringed for the fel-pro loc wire head gaskets

This may sound like a stupid question, but is your block o-ringed? If it is not you will have a leak.

With everything that you have on the car it would not be a bad idea to get a custom chip to help with your performance. It’s not required for your head install but it would help to maximize your horsepower potential. The ideal situation is to find a shop that will burn a custom chip while your car is on the dyno. That way your chip is tailored to your car, not based on prior history with cars with similar set-ups. Of course finding a good local tuner is not always so easy. Price is hard to judge. It all depends on who does the work, but it should be in the $300-$500 range.

I'm pretty sure you can not use them unless the block is o-ringed. I could be wrong but this is what I have been told.

The block does not have to be o-ringed. My heads are done, but my block isn't. I have had any problems, I have had this combination (o-ring) for a 1 1/2 yrs now.:)

First things first..No your block doesn't have to be o-ringed. your block isn't gonna leak if it's not o-ringed. Two..having a custom chip tailored to your motor will dramatically help you. I wish you good luck with this.
