Friends, I was thinking of adding an off road H-pipe with eliminators to my 99. I was curious if any one else with a 99+ has done this change?? If so how long have you had one on and has there been any problems with the eliminators or MIL.
Also, which eliminators from where are recommended for price and fit. I am not interested in the X-pipe.
thanks for your response.

i'm running the MAC off road H and Mil's. had them on since Sep/Oct last year, haven't had the first bit of trouble out of them.
picked up the MIL eliminators from Delk for 60 bucks (i think).
be prepared to piss your neighbors of...hehehe

not sure about the flows...on my old GT they sounded great, haven't really heard 99^ with them. i'm running the borla catback. putting the MIL's in is no sweat, just unplug and plug. i have to change my H pipe out this week to go thru emissions, it's about a 45 minute job total....

.....well the stock set up I have with delta flows now sounds just right. Hopefully I'll beable to get a lil' more performance and meaner sound out of it.

I have the MAC O/R Pipe and stock mufflers. Can you say it is dang awesome? As Steve said, get ready for the neighbors to give you a look. :lurk: You can hear the car a mile away if you are on it but at idle, it's quiet and docile except for the "big block" gurgle.... lol. Taking off, if someone is next to you, they'll be pissed off if they have the window down. You will pick up about 10-15 rwhp with the swap. I have the MIL's and haven't had a light problem.
Negatives: gas fume smell at the rear and your car will run rich. I would get it tuned for the richness and get a couple of more extras ponies out of it. I plan to do mine soon, maybe in Iowa if I get there early enough??? Enjoy the kick a$$ sound, it's just like the old big block days.... ;)

my car is a 98, but i have the MAC O/R pipe with MIL'S and Flows and i LUV it. Yes your car will be very loud, but the sound is very deep and hollow the way a Cobra should sound. The only draw back is the exhaust fumes are greatly increased. And if you are ever driving next to a John Q. Law you have to be very conservative on the throttle or else you will get stopped. Other than that, my advice to you is to get the plug- in style MIL's. They will cost you around 60.00 at Dallas Mustang or you can get a set on eBay for around 40.00 like i did. With the plug-ins you dont have to splice your O2 sensor wire and they take about 1min. to install. Without the MIL's i got an immediate check engine light, after the install it hasnt shown its ugly face since. Your car will be more powerful and louder....you are gonna be stoked!

That's almost what I have on my '98: MAC OR and 2 chamber Flowmasters. They're not the delta flows, but on the outside, they sound the same, I think. I like the way mine sound. Check my web site for videos that should have some sound with them.
Steve's on the other hand, sound A W E S O M E!!!!! Do what he did... whatever that is...

Oh, sorry, sn8kbit.
Borla. I heard his car at Gingerman and it is great. Loud, but great. I also agree with what Snake98 said about the loud, "hollow sound" with the flow-mo-bettas and MAC OR. It is a different sound than what most Cobras have.

IIRC Steve has an O/R H-pipe w/borlas. So, i'm sure he knows what i'm talking about. My car has the BBK longtubes with the off road shorty H (BBK). Borla side exit exhaust finishes it up. The sound of that combo is nothing shy of breath taking. I'd imagine that Steve's doesn't sound that much different than mine. Then, if you add the supercharger on top of it... it's just that much better. The sound is very tame at idle, then it's even more incredible when you hit the gas. If it's supercharged, the compression flowing through those pipes will make it sound even more amazing.
