:( I've been wanting a fox body for a while.I found a nice 88 g.t...I go check it out,and it turns out to be an aotomatic..Crap,just my luck.I was willing to convert from speed density to mass air,but I'm not sure if the tranny will handle the mods I had planned...Was hoping to make it run in the low 13's/high 12's..Should I go ahead and get it or wait and get a 5 speed 89 wich already has the mass air? This g.t. is pretty nice and would hate to pass it up by thinking about it too long..(I don't race my Cobra.plan to keep her cherry for as long as I have her since getting her was my dream come true....)please help..any advice and recommendations would greatly be appreciated since I honestly don't know much about automatic 5.0's....thanks....:)

I had an 86 GT 5.0 automatic OD and it was a great car...neat thing was, it had the 3.27 rear while the man trans cars came with I believe a 3.00 so it was pretty quick off the line...not sure what you want to do with the car, but it was a fun driver for 6 years til I bought a 92 T-Bird SC, another fun car...

Can you convert it to a manual tranny? I've always wondered about that actually...

I've got a 1993 GT vert w/AOD. It's black with silver stripes, and has 88K miles. Small mods include Hooker shortys, delta 40's, March ram air, and a tiny shift kit. The top isn't in the greatest shape, but it's a nice car to run around in. I'll sell it to ya :D :D
