according to secret redneck sources of mine, about an hour and a half out of MAM, snow is currently on the ground. elsewhere, freezing rain, ice and snow are making for some, a hazardous journey. sources tell this redneck reporter that the "Dean-Brian Weather Effect" (aka 'El Slobros') is wreaking havoc with the moral of MAM travellers already.

stay tuned to this thread for more info during the weekend.....

UPDATE:

30 degrees on the ground with a bit of snow also on the ground, though not as much as reported earlier. this is most likely due to the high pressure Scandinavian 'sodan' air moving in expected to be there around 7 pm CST. hillbilly meteorologists are concerned with the German front moving into that direction at roughly 4am CST and just what the effect of 'El Slobros' will have on this weekends track event.

hogwash?? HOGWASH????? this post was just plain bolony!!

Just the facts ma'am, just the facts.......

update:

the minniesodan front was moving south to MAM with a leading front of rain just 30 minutes prior to arrival. if that's not proof, nothing is. reports from the field state that winds and chill buffeted the small paddocked outpost as the initial start of the "El Slobro" anomoly started to hit. stay tuned for more info as the hoosier/german front moves in tomorrow.

(BTW, that's the MAM cam, and it updates so you can check to see just how El Slobros will affect this weekend firsthand. and yes lisa, i knew that ;) )

i doo know that the hoosier/germanic front moving in, is a slow moving front, chance of precipitation is very high, temps below normal.

No snow at the track, just a bit cold this morning (Saturday). Lot's of good track time, very challenging track, very nice facility. Only Peter and Tony joined the "Dean's list" (to my knowledge).

Another update later, and again tomorrow. Gott go eat pizza and look at pix and videos from today.

:D
