XRoads Ford Refuses Warranty Work

Crossroads Ford in Cary, NC refused to work on my transmission and rear end because of mods that had been made to my car. They say they discussed with Ford and Ford agreed.

Here's the mods:

BBK Cold Air Induction
HP Front Tower Brace
Flowmaster Mufflers

My warranty says different. BOYCOT CROSSROADS FORD IN CARY, NC.

Tell them that you will take it court and be serious, on my 93 cobra they told me that they would not replace because it had exhaust, ram air. A typed up letter signed by a notary saying that we would take them to court and a new tranny I had. They have no way of proving your mods messed up your tranny or rear end. They'll fix it you'll just have to get into their ass first.

Take it to another dealer, or get tough with them. The Magnuson-Moss Act basically states that warranty work cannot be denied on a vehicle with aftermarket parts, unless those parts were directly involved with the failure of the part you want warranty coverage for. Mufflers will not cause a transmission to fail, an improperly installed shifter could. Go back and be tough. If they still won't do the work, get the name/number of the district Service Manager for Ford and call them.

Which service rep did you talk to? I am not a big fan of Crossroads but its better than going to Capital.
