Spy photo's of the 2005 Mustang are in this week's issue of Auto week. It look's like the "Blue" car everyone has seen which is said to be what it really will look like. Over time I have found Autoweek contributing "Spies" to be the most accurate. The car shown is a Red convert with ten spoke( five 2 bar )alloy wheels. The side view looks vaguely like todays car. Out back the exhaust tips appear to exit thru the bumper. At a glance the overall car look's a lot like our 92 vert. HP for the GT is said to be 280,up 20 from present. The Cobra version is said to be 400. Based on the 03 I take this to mean somewhere around 500 hp for sure because that is what the 2005 Lightning will have under the hood. Intro for the Stang will be at next months Detroit Auto Show. All models go on sale fall of 2004 to coincide with the 40th anniv of the Mustang.

well, I will have to say I saw the spy photos, and I think they look HORRIBLE... I still reserve judgment on the final product when I see it first hand..
also, there is no proof this is the real deal, gotta ask, why would ford do a 05 photo shoot on a public beach... although these pics look awefully like a conversion kit out for the current chassis
here are the photos

this supposed cad drawing that an engineer leaked out looks much better, but it can still be the doing of some 9 year old kid trying to spread rumors..

Interesting..........
reminds me alot of the '93 vertes...i used to show against a Trailer Queen from South Texas(WAYYYYY south!) Reminds me of hers...except for the Tail end...looks a little more chopped off.
I kinda like it. Not sure about the tail end though.

Levi, that is one of the pics off the cad drawing you are talking about with the color added in, I have the cad drawing but its hug, so I didn't post it
as far as the two pics of the vert...
another reason I think there is NO WAY this is the 05 is the fact that its a 2 seater, like the MachIII concept...
:doubt:

Firme, I think the cad drawing one is awesome, I do not like the beach picture one. The MachIII didn't do anything for me as well.

Ah......Edmund,you are the Spy. Your Beach Pic's are much better than Autoweeks. In these pic's the vert looks likeS--T. I do like the Cad Car. Look's more like something I would be interested in

The Cad drawing looks really cool.... ;) The convertible one " I'll pass". I'd still have to reserve my final opinion for when I see it in real life. Also, be prepared for a rush on this car regardless because of its well rounded classic lines. Do I hear "mark-up" on them??? ;)

Ah, the younger generation is good for something, even if it is only to keep us younger than we feel!!
