1.)Where is the 1/8 mile racing being held?
2.)Will there be a speed limit during the open track event similar to MCA's big show?

I just got off the phone with Dan Schlickenmeyer, AI East Director. The AI series is running LMS the weekend before our event. Bruce Griggs is bringing one of his cars out to the east coast to race that weekend. Mr. Griggs wants to set up an AI display at our event. This would include a bunch of the AI cars as well. If we get Griggs I'm thinking we can pull in MM, Steeda and other AI sponsors to come to our event. What do ya think???

JOhn,
Get with Bobby on it. The more people we have as sponsors, the better it will be for SCMC.

Sorry Steve I forgot to post. The speed will be limited to 120mph on the track like the MCA event. That is an insurance thingy...
We asked for volunteers to help. There will be some perks for those who help but we can't say till later.
We have a lot scheduled to be at this event but I haven't received anything in writing so I cannot post it till I get it on paper. I've learned my lesson on "hear say". If it's on paper and signed then I believe it. :)

I know I will be there. I have got a motel room in Kannapolis for 59.95 per night at the Fairfield inn. I can't wait for this one. It sounds like a big show. If it is anything like the Fun Ford show in Norwalk, Ohio last year it will be big. Fun Ford guys said there was over 3000 cars there last year. That was show & race cars.

I just want to make a reply to something SilverStrike said in his Announcemnt, and I quote: "This is a family oriented event so if you are at the car show, the kids and the little lady can be at the fair or the mall." That appears to be a sexist remark, if you ask me    Some of us "little ladies" are actually the entrants, thank you very much :yup: ;)

I'm not really mad, but I was surprised in this day and age that someone would call us "little ladies"

Um Cheryl....aren't you little? And you are a lady right? I don't think Siverstrike meant anything by it. Don't sweat the little stuff, just go out and have fun like we did last week in Atlanta. ;)
You won first place at your first car show now that's something to be excited about right! :bounce: Think fun and you will have a great time at any event. See you soon.....
