how much do you think it would cost to strip down my present paint and freshly paint a new color on my car. I was thinking maybe a color that is in production now but I don't know if that would make it more expensive or less
thanks

Anytime you change paint colors, it will be more expensive. Remember, they will have to prep and spray the trunk and door jamb areas. That means they will also have to mask off and tape those areas as well and a little more paint will be needed as well as extra labor charges.
Why would you not want to have a fresh new black paint job on that beauty? Black Snake with chrome wheels look great. I'd just take the extra money I would have spent and buy some go fast goodies. My .02 worth... ;)

Stripping and repainting a car is very labor intensive. To fix some blistering around stone chips in the hood, I had it stripped and repainted. The bill was over $500!
